9
Greganytimep4meSigh. I still think this is the wrong strategy, but I'll add it to the group of Glob(), FindFile(), and filesystem string functions I'm working on.
10
JasonI agree with Greg in principle, but agree that people want include and exclude API's as they view it is cleaner

Gary2.xstevenSteven is Mr. Batch Builder. This shouldn't be delayed too long since batch building of C/C++ behaves quite differently, and people do want to disable it. It may be trivial to fix, since None seems to work (disable batch) but False seems not to.

JasonI have not been able to get this to work yet myself. However Steve seems to be the expert on this

GarystevenThis needs to be handled somehow. His patch seems like the right idea to me.

GaryI can repro this. It's related to batching (all .objs depend on all .cs) but I don't understand all the details yet. It's also one of those cases where it thinks it's done (but it's not -- it didn't compile anything), but then it gives a cycle error at the end. How does that happen? Started last year sometime (pre-batch) iirc.
48
GregIt looks OK to me; who's the expert on current taskmaster cycles?

GarystevenThis should really be called "$CHANGED_SOURCES sometimes contains all sources, not just changed". It's clearly for Steven, who's working with the OP.

GaryAnatoly makes some excellent points. It's a wiki, so I think we just need to empower him to go ahead with his ideas.
