TimeDepart from Hilton Garden Inn Lobby at 5:45pm6 - 11pm5:30pm SoulCycle class (if you have never taken a soulcycle class before, arrive at the studio by 5:10pm or so to fill out a new rider form). Dinner at 7:30pm.6:30-9:305h30-9h306-9:30pmIf you're the kind of person who might be looking to spend the evening with a smaller group (or solo), or you're just not sure what you'll feel like doing this far out, this may be the option for you!

If you sign up to this activity, it signals that you're either interested in getting a small group together spontaneously or that you're planning to take some time to explore solo (fellow introverts, this one's for you ;)

To help you Choose Your Own Adventure, I'm putting together a map of my favourite places in the city: https://drive.google.com/a/mozilla.com/open?id=1CP6JdT_9zC5pgWz8dZYs_qlOO-C4zI55&usp=sharing

There won't be any facilitated meet-up place or time, but if you want company, you're strongly encouraged to reach out to others who've signed up (I'll make a Slack channel) to share the thing(s) you're interested in doing and invite folks to join you.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet, but I'll let you know closer to!

- Sam

DescriptionEasy, breezy bowling & dinner in downtown Toronto. This night is all walk-able. Live like a local! and join us for a fun and casual evening, starting with a competitive hour of bowling. Yummy Italian or Thai dinner to follow with a sunset cocktail wrap up on a rooftop patio :) A low key thing to do if you need some time away from the bustle of workweek.

Will there be karaoke at the office? Yes.
We will start with a nice dinner (TBD, but we may do last year's https://www.blogto.com/restaurants/mayrik-toronto/), there will be at least a 30-min walk after so we are ready for a Beginner Hip Hop (taught by Jac) at Underground Dance Studio 8-9pm, followed by stand-up comedy (& a drink) at Yuk Yuk right next door at 9:30pm (several comedians, it's a new talent showcase). Note that dance studio & comedy club are 5-min walk from the hotelJoin Angela for a SoulCycle class, followed by dinner at one of her favourite nearby restaurants :)Every month, I take a small group of people to explore different cuisines from across the world -- the dinner series is called 'Around the World in 80 Bites'. Options include (1) Tibetan cuisine, (2) First Nations Canadian cuisine, or (3) Syrian Cuisine (to be decided in consultation with the group)Qiqong class and dinner at the Spring Roll in Dundas Square. 1 hour QiGong class at Shaolin Temple Quanfa Institute in Chinatown. QiGong is a traditional Chinese holistic martial art. It improves increases health, increase energy and awareness. It involves stretching, breathing techniques, light physical movements, and mental Qi flow. Shaolin Monks have been practicing qigong for the last 1,500 years to improve not only their health but also to increase the power of their martial arts kung fu. When you think of Toronto the CN tower, water front TO and the skyscrapers of downtown come to mind. BUT! There is so, so much more to the city than downtown. Join us for an intimate look at the east side of Toronto (specifically, Leslieville). This charming pocket of Toronto is best known for its quaint antique shops, friendly store owners and more recently a vibrant restaurant and brewery scene buoyed by an influx of young professionals drawn by cheaper housing. We'll stop at 3 spots total, the final being Gio's "The Nose" Really Really Nice Restaurant known for Italian tapas and an afterwork crowd.
