|Lego Movie has dominated box offices for three weeks. But now, another block-oriented film is in the works. Warner Brothers may be working with Minecraft creator Markus Persson to create a live-action film -- as in, not animated -- based on the open world game. The studio has acquired the rights to the movie, and now they’re apparently looking for writers and directors. The original PC version of Minecraft has reached 100 million users, including more than 14 million paid users. Persson also intends to bring Minecraft to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. If you’re interested in Minecraft, you should check out TWiT’s weekly show OMGcraft Thursdays at 5pm Pacific. The show is hosted by TWiT’s Chad Johnson who, let’s face it, should really be the star of the Minecraft movie.||START AT 0:49: |
