Title: Restorative Practices

Result Statement: All Grand Blanc staff members will be able to use a cohesive Restorative Practices framework for conflict resolution that allows students and staff to feel respected, safe, and have healthy relationships.

2Early in fall of 2023, the 10 representatives will meet to create a RP training presentation to ensure consistency across the district. RP Building Reps/Admin

3By fall of 2023, each building will establish a Restorative Practices Professional Learning Committee. Building Principal

4By the end of the first semester in the 2023-2024 year, a representative will train building staff on Restorative Practices information learned at the GISD. Building Principal/RP PLC

5To ensure Restorative Practices is being taught to new staff each year, the District DEI Team will provide training each year as part of the onboarding process to new staff members. Central Office Admin/Building Admin

6Building Administrators and Restorative Practice PLC´s will ensure building specific training is incorporated each year. Building Principal/RP PLC

7Administrative Teams at elementary and secondary levels will work together to create a consistent framework for Restorative Practice data collection. (Baseline year 2023-2024) Building Administrators will review data collection processes and make changes to the RP data collection framework annually if needed. 8In year 2, RP PLCs at each level will analyze data to identify strengths and weaknesses. With analysis of data collection, buildings will have funds available to them to supplement a building wide program if needed or desired. Building Principals/RP PLC

9High School Responsibility Room * Currently being piloted in 24-25 school year * The structure of the program requires 2.0 FTE, as there is a room available in both buildings on campus * Behavior Coaches (action plan 3) have been absorbed into this FTE. Additionally, the high school student advisory staffing has been reduced by 1.0 FTE. * Data collection for the year will include frequency of behaviors, impact on office discipline referrals, and staff survey feedback * Program allows students and staff to use a cohesive framework to address low level behavioral issues in a tiered MTSS structure. This will create consistency that allows students and staff to feel respected, safe and have healthy relationships.
