|2018 Empire Lacrosse 14th Annual Boys 7v7 Fall Classic Rules, Guidelines, Directions and Parking Info|
|Playing Format/Rules Sheet:|
All Players MUST fill out the Registration/Waiver form online.
All Players MUST wear full equipment, including a MOUTHGUARD.
Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 Games.
Each team should have a minimum of 12 players on their roster.
The playing field will be modified for 7v7 play.
Each team will have 1 G, 2 D, 2 M, and 2 A on the field at one time.
Only 2 long poles are allowed on the field at one time.
The games will consist of two 22 minute halves (running time) with no more than a 5 minute half.
In the event of a tie, a Braveheart will be used to determine the winner.
Each team will have one 30 second timeout per game; timeouts may not be called in the last 2 minutes of play.
A face-off will only occur at the beginning of each game and the start of the second half.
Following each goal, the goalie will restart play by out-letting the ball.
Penalties will not be served for time but will result in a fast break for the non-fouling team.
Student Athletes may be removed from the field of play and asked to sit out for not following the rules.
If a Student Athlete is removed from a single game more than 2x's he will be suspended from the next game.
Student Athletes that are suspended from games or ejected from the tournament are not eligible for a refund
Fighting will result in an automatic ejection and players will not be permitted to play the remainder of the day.
Body contact is limited to man-ball situations only. There are NO takeout checks allowed.
All substitutions must occur on the fly.
All other rules of the game will follow NFHS rules.
|Directions to Habig:|
From the North: Take US 31 South to 161st Street, head East on 161st Street to the Carey Road roundabout. Make a right and head South out of the roundabout onto Carey Road. Habig is on your right hand side of the street, across from the Bridgewater Country Club.
From the South: Take US 31 North to 161st Street, head East on 161st Street to the Carey Road roundabout. Make a right and head South out of the roundabout onto Carey Road. Habig is on your right hand side of the street, across from the Bridgewater Country Club.
Parking: There are two lots on-site for parking that will open at 8am. IMPORTANT - If you are coming in from 161st Street you will be directed to park in the North Lot. If you are coming in from 151st Street you will be directed to park in the East Lot. In the unlikely event that we fill both lots, there is an Elementary school North of Habig on Carey Road that may be used as overflow parking. If you park at the school, please be aware that you do so at your own risk.
|Waiver and Consent to Treat:|
I am over 18 years of age and/or a parent/guardian of the applicant. I understand that (I am)(my child is) participating in a contact sport and that injury, death, or other loss may occur. I will ensure that (I am)(my child is) properly equipped to play at all times. I will neither hold Empire Lacrosse & Sports Inc, Empire Lax Club, Empire Elite, Team Indiana, The Indiana Lacrosse Academy, or their agents/employees ("Empire") responsible nor liable in event of an accident or injury to (me)(my child.) In the event that (I)(my child) requires medical treatment, the staff is authorized to act for me in accordance with their best judgment.
|Additional info (Team Tents, Amenities, etc):|
Team Tents and Food are permitted at Habig as long as they are set-up at the designated area (see field map.) All items must be carried into the park and we ask that you PLEASE be respectful and cleanup after your team at the end of the event.
The Habig Snack Shack will be open. They plan to offer breakfast foods, coffee, bottled water, sports drinks and snacks. There will also be Pizza and Chicken available for purchase in the afternoon froom additional vendors. All the food vendors will be set-up by the Team Tent area.
There are portable restrooms on site. They will be located in the Southwest corner of the East Parking Lot, just outside of the Team Tent area.
IMPORTANT - In the event of an injury, a St. Vincents Certified Athletic Trainer will be located at the Empire Tent.

Attention all Athletes, Coaches, Spectators, and Event Employees; please be aware that lacrosse is a contact sport and that injury may occur during play or when watching a game. Players must have a signed liability waiver on file and should be fully equipped at all times in order to minimize their risk for injury. Coaches, Spectators, and Event Employees should be aware of their surroundings at all times. They should be sure to never walk behind the cage during play and they should never sit too close to the field during the game. Empire Lacrosse & Sports Inc, Empire Lax Club, Empire Elite, Team Indiana, The Indiana Lacrosse Academy, or their agents/employees ("Empire") are not responsible nor liable in the event of any accidents or injuries that may occur during Empire sponsored leagues, tournaments, events, or programs.
