260Sri Horeswer Goyari, Sarkari Gaonburha, KhatkhatiThe Report on the 78th Independence Day, 2024
On the 15th of August, 2024, our vidyalaya celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event began at 8:00 AM, and the programme was well-anchored by Parismita didi, who kept the audience engaged throughout. The entrance of the venue was adorned with a beautiful Rangoli, meticulously crafted by Sabitry didi and K. Malakar didi, which added vibrant colors and a festive atmosphere to the occasion. The celebration began with the chanting of the 'Shanti Path,' by Krishna Malakar didi. This invocation set a peaceful and spiritual tone to the event, creating a sense of unity and harmony among everyone present there. Following this, Hongbari didi delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, expressing her joy and pride in being a part of such a significant day and reminding everyone of the importance of the 78th Independence Day. One of the most awaited moments was the flag hoisting ceremony. The Chief Guest, Sri Horeshwar Goyari, SGB, Khatkhati- Kachari Gaon, was given the honor of unfurling the national flag. As the flag soared high, the crowd stood in honour and sang the national anthem with immense pride, filling the air with patriotism. The Headmaster Sri Subash Kumar Verma, thereafter, delivered a speech on the significance of the day. His words were inspiring, as he highlighted the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the values of freedom and democracy that we must cherish and uphold. His speech resonated deeply with everyone and set a reflective mood for the rest of the programme. The students of Class VI, guided by S. Deb didi, performed a soulful rendition of "Bharat Vande Mataram," which stirred emotions and filled the audience with a sense of national pride. Following this, the students of Class I and II, under the guidance of Parismita didi, presented a lively group dance. Their performance was filled with energy and innocence, which brought smiles to everyone's face. Another highlight of the event was a drama being performed by the students of Class IV and V, under the direction of Parismita didi. The drama depicted the life and bravery of our national heroes, reminding everyone of the struggles and sacrifices that were made for our independence. The students’ performance was both moving and educational, leaving a lasting impact on the audience. The programme also featured solo dance performances by Angel Thapa and Trishna Boro, both being guided by K. Malakar didi. Angel’s graceful movements and Trishna’s expressive dance captivated the audience, earning them well-deserved applause. The students of Class III, under the guidance of S. Deb didi, also showcased their dancing skills with a well-coordinated group dance that was appreciated by all. In a special segment, K. Malakar didi and Parismita didi, themselves, performed a patriotic group dance. Their performance was a beautiful blend of talent and elegance, adding a special charm to the celebrations and highlighting the close-knit community spirit of our vidyalaya. As the event drew to a close, Sir Jayanta Topadar delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the participants, organizers, and attendees who made the event a grand success. The programme concluded with the chanting of the 'Shanti Mantra' by Parthana didi, bringing a sense of peace and closure to the grand celebration. Finally, as a sweet gesture to mark the end of the festivities, K. Mech didi, assisted by our aya didis, distributed snacks to all the students and attendees. The distribution of snacks left everyone with a sense of joy and satisfaction, rounding off a memorable Independence Day celebration. The event was a resounding success, fostering a strong sense of patriotism and unity among all who attended the same.
