I would like it if there were class sections for the advanced courses.

The dedication and personal assistance from professors. Because of this, I was able to figure out what fields I am interested in and gain opportunities in them.
More upper level coursework and more weekly or monthly lectures on current math work being done.

The most positive were the availability to the staff if I needed any help they were there to guide me.
The tutoring center, sometimes I received the wrong answers. Also variety of times for classes throughout the year as well as professors experience with the topic I had a few teachers who didn’t know a couple of things.

There were a variety of courses to choose from, which was very much appreciated.
The variety of professors could be improved

The openness to speak to professors regarding coursework, research, and careers in Mathematics.
There are some professors that have consistently never provide good experiences in the classroom, to the extent that it can make or break a student's motivation to continue with the major, or even care for Mathematics in general. Personally, my experiences with some professors have significantly delayed my growth as a mathematician.

I definitely suggest making relations to more applications, more of the WHY.
- WHY is Linear Algebra required for CS majors (and there are a lot, but never explored in class leaving CS students ___ despite it being important)
- Have more entertaining questions that are "cool" and catch students' attention, but also show the applications of (for example) calculus.

Whenever there's a new form of problem solving, like abstract algebra where we work with abstract binary operations and abstract elements, to constantly relate back to what is already known (which is the reals and +, -, *, /). The idea of inverse operations are easier to understand once it's said that + - and * / are inverses of each other.

I went to the Math Dept website Faculty page to find my instructor's office no & hrs but he wasn't listed. I checked the Lehman directory and he wasn't there either. Poking around some, I discovered that none of the math adjuncts were listed either on the Dept faculty page OR in the LC directory. They were invisible. Finally, I discovered a link at the bottom of the Faculty page to a pdf to download and open w adjunct email addresses, but not office nos or hrs on it.

Other departments - even big ones, like English, w lots of adjuncts - list all their adjuncts both on their faculty page AND in the Lehman directory. It's unfortunate that math can't treat their PT instructors w the same respect. It would also be a big help to students trying to find their instructors.
