HOW TO USE

(1) Adapt the template with your organization’s values and values-based interview questions. Insert or remove rows as needed – the scoring formulas will not be affected.

(2) As you interview the candidate and ask the candidate the values-based questions, rate their responses by marking the cell in the appropriate column: No, Yes, Big Yes, or N/A.

(3) With all the questions asked and responses rated, the scorecard automatically assesses the candidate’s score in the “What Score Means” field.

SCORING

The scoring is simple, and calculates automatically

No = -1
Yes = +1
Big Yes = +2
N/A = 0

WHAT SCORE MEANS

The “What Score Means” field compares the candidate’s actual total score to the potential points available if every questions rated a “Yes”:

“Values Bar-Raiser!” = greater than 100% (possible if they receive all “Yes” and “Big Yes” scores)
“Decent Values Match” = 75% to 100%
“Not a Strong Values Match” = less than 75%
