Monday, January 30, 2023Semester Break Day - no students

Tuesday, January 31, 2023There is no textbook for this class, so you need to learn where to find materials for class that you'll use to supplement studying for tests. You will receive a copy of the book ""Spillover"" by David Quammen from which you will have assigned readings and questions to answer. The first chapter we will discuss is Chapter 1 "The Pale Horse" which deals with the Hendra virus outbreak in Australia in 1994. There are homework questions on Edulastic that follow the reading for each chapter.

Because of the Florida trip, you will choose your Cootie project topic today and be given the opportunity to work on finding and starting your first current event, doing your vocabulary definitions, researching your cooties, reading Spillover, etc.
4
Wednesday, February 1, 2023Those of you who are in class will use the time to work on a project that is due in two weeks. People who are in Florida will have no class time to work on the assignment.
