IDEAClassicists and their friends like books. A lot! We hunt, collect, and hoard them. But we all know there are books on our shelves we could let go to a good home. Let's turn our love of books into a fund-raising opportunity for the SPORTULA. All proceeds go directly to the Sportula. What's the Sportula?
12
Donate Books (and postage)Just write up a description (first three columns), give a digital means of contacting your (email, FB, twitter, etc.) and set a minimum bid and closing date on or before April 21, 2019. On the closing date come back. Check the winning bid and get in contact with the bidder, let them know to 'pay' via the Sportula gofundme, and then mail the book to the person! Promote this auction on social media by sharing a link and saying which books you posted or which ones look extra awesome!GoFundMe LinkSigned author copies are awesome, but you can also put up ANY book you own and are happy to donate!
13
Bid and Win BooksFind a book or 20 in the list below you just have to have, enter a bid higher than both the minimum bid and the current highest bid, leave your contact info (email, fb, twitter, vel sim), and move the contact info of any previous bidder into the adjoining column. Check back on the closing date or sooner to see if you win. When you win, pay the amount to the Sportula and contact the donator with details on where to ship your book.Make the Sportula sustainable! Become a Patron!
14
15
Bold Indicates New Addition in Need of an Opening Bid!Show some love to the brave individuals donating THEIR OWN books and services!
16
17
To ensure collegial closure of the most contentious bidding, after bidding closes on the FIVE items commanding the highest bids, those knocked out of contention will be asked to submit final 'highest and best' offers. Of these, the winning bidder will be invited to match the very highest of these bids.
