Archie Williams Mountain Bike TeamThe Archie Williams Mountain Bike Team welcomes all abilities and grade levels. There are no try outs, no cuts and no one sits on the bench. Whether you are new to biking or have prior experience, there’s a place for you on the team. You’ll gain fitness, skill, endurance and confidence while being part of the winningest team in the state. We not only pride ourselves on our success on the race course but also for our inclusivity and team spirit. Whether you like to shred or just take in the scenery, join us for some fun get to know you preseason events starting October 15th and then attend at least 2 team practices a week starting in January. Cancer Awareness ClubThe Cancer Awareness Club will host multiple fundraisers throughout the year. We will meet every other Wednesday in Mr. Henderson’s room. Some of our ideas include raising money for cancer research and organizations that support people with cancer. We also hope to volunteer at hospitals, make cards and posters for people in hospice, and do much more. Cards for CareAs part of a collaboration with Find Your Way, a county-focused organization helping the community through various projects and activities, Cards for Care aims to reach hospital patients with handwritten, drawn, and other art and craft projects to offer support while making an impact on their road to recovery. The Uplift ProjectThe purpose of this club is to spread kindness and uplift both our school and community. We will host stations and events, as well as create posters and kindness boards to place around the community. The boards will include notes such as “Take this letter if you’re feeling burnt out,” written by someone who has felt that way and wants to share encouragement. We will focus on putting together these boards and organizing kindness stations at Archie and in our local community.
