Course Directors for each coursebetter customer service, more opportunities for networking, fix bugs, able to categorize questions easier, option to not have versions of a question, Better importing service, better sorting within lists. assigning EC points to question prior to taking rather than after.-Kayla Kranitz and Adam Maier Institutional Admins.
-DRC students are served in-house
-We run data through and present to Course Directors with Tableau
-This year we are trying to use ExamSoft for in-house, secure exams and Canvas for take home, open book exams
This is information is just about ExamSoft use. Canvas would be a whole other convo.

NBME Subject (Shelf) exams are used by some clerkships as final exams in the course.

clerkship directors and coordinatorsMax 50, based on space capacity.Yes, but this will be done in the clerkships rather than in a testing center on campus. Adam Maier will be working on a new way of assessing students in their clerkships.more/better private/semi-private space for testing students with accommodations; computers in private/semi-private spaces for a comparable experience for students testing with accommodations, need for screen shields to protect privacy when students are so close togetherCoordinate NBME Subject (Shelf) exams for required clerkships, train and support coordinators, staff, and interns as Chief Proctors; our office administers the exams for LIC students and students with accommodations.

Coordinate the use of SimPORTAL and IERC to provide clinical Institutional Assessments.
For NBME exams, students take online exams using a secure browser, and workstations must be certified in advance.

BYOD for DDS, Computer labs for DHN/A
DH students take mock board exams in computer labs. The mock exams are sent to specific computers in labs and cannot be sent to personal devices
Course directors for each course, Richard Ruth in Academic IT
~110 for DDS; ~35 for DH
None at this time
DH finds difficulty in reserving computer lab space for testing, some computers lack lockdown browser, computer spacing, & screen protector. For ExamSoft, Mac updates can cause issues
Non-secure feature in Examsoft also used for take-home open book quizzes
DDS uses ExamSoft, DH uses Canvas

Jean-Scott DoddDuluth Med Ed (DMED)907 (Fall) 6 (Spring) - Does not include courses without examsBYOD (Laptops available in IT if student has an issue)N/Ahttps://med.umn.edu/sites/med.umn.edu/files/secure_exam_policy.pdfCourse Directors for each courseNo ability to use hotspot questions or rubrics in our legacy edition of ExamSoft (both could be useful). No importing abilities. Occasional bugs can lead to issues when preparing an exam. Posting assessments is clunky and rigid with no ability to edit once you hit post (if you have issues, must copy the exam, delete the "old" one, and make changes and post again - if students have downloaded already, this becomes an issue)Course managers input questions and finalize exams with course directors.

IT department always has an individual available in room the day of testing for issues.
ExamSoft also used for non-secure practice exams and occasional quizzes that are worth points for the overall course grade
