Welcome to Pick Your Own at Ayni Herb Farm
2
I am so glad you are interested in coming by to experience first hand the magic and medicine of harvesting your own fresh herbs to take home. Please read the following instructions to help you get oriented in the process.
3
Harvest Dates + Times
4
Please plan your PYO adventure during open farm hours so I can be there to orient you to the space. Open farm hours are Monday-Friday 9-1pm or during our volunteer dates (check website for dates).
5
DIY Harvest Station
6
There will be a DIY Harvest station inside the greenhouse towards the backside, under the shade cloth. There you will find scales, rubber band, sciccors, pruners, harvest bins, bags and a recordkeeping clipboard. You are welcome to use any of these tools to help you harvest. If you bring your own tools, please make sure they have been properly cleaned and disinfected beforehand. Please make sure to weigh and record what and how much you harvested to help us keep track of our yields. This information is vital in our crop planning process to ensure we grow enough for all of us to enjoy.
7
Pricing + Payment
8
Herbs are available on a sliding scale basis, meaning pay what you can afford based on your income and access to wealth. We will have a price list available on site to help you determine how much you want to pay.
You may also consider the following factors to help you decide:
-what is your intended use of the herbs?
Pay more if you are a business owner and your intended use is for commercial purpose vs someone who is involved in mutual aid work
-what is your access to wealth?
Pay more if you have generational wealth, expendable income or want to practice paying it forward for others to access this resource at a lower cost.
Payment: Cash, Check or leave your email (include total amount you will pay) so that I can send you an invoice. Please note how much you will be paying so that I can include that in the invoice. Invoices can be paid by cash, check or card online. Checks should be made out to Ayni Herb Farm LLC

Honorable Harvest Practice
12
We encourage you to approach harvesting by offering gratitude for the herbs before your harvest. This may done with a song, poem, tobacco or any offerings that feel most available to you. Harvest with care for the plant to avoid damaging it, leave some for others (including the pollinators), take only what you need.
