I hope the MCD network can give me political experience that will help me grow my network.

I'm a working mother of four, employed full time as a firefighter and paramedic, a career I have loved for nearly two decades now. I have a strong Union background; encouraging women and other under-represented groups to explore historically white, male-dominated careers is a passion of mine. I volunteer for many local progressive causes. Opened the Compassionate Care Clinic for the houseless this winter at a local shelter. Avid athlete, gardener, track coach, dog & human mom.
I have volunteered, rallied, and canvassed with the democratic party here and in WA state well over a decade. Organizing and volunteer experience with Moms Demand Action, AFL-CIO, NARAL, and others progressive causes. Chair of the IAFF Local 1660 Equity and Inclusion Committee for the past 6 years. Active in the Neighborhood Leader program.
As a long-time democrat and community activist, I'd like to make my party involvement "official." Becoming involved as a non-PCP neighborhood leader convinced me to take the leap, especially after I saw how effective and meaningful the PCP/ NLP efforts were in the midterm elections.
