19th Annual Earth Day Charles River CleanupCharles River Watershed AssociationThe Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup brings together over 3,000 volunteers each year to pick up litter, remove invasive species and assist with park maintenance. To date, this annual cleanup has removed over 25 million pounds of trash from America’s waterways. Road to Wellness 5KThe Dimock CenterRoad to Wellness 5K is aimed at inspiring mind, body and spiritual health through fitness and exercise while embracing Roxbury’s rich history, diverse culture and strong sense of community. The Road to Wellness 5k is anticipated to engage over 1,200 participants from over 200 surrounding communities to unite runners and walkers in their pursuit of wellness. Charles River Center Empowers and supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. On Saturday, September 18th, we will be holding our annual Ellie Bloom Special Olympics event. This is a day of yard games and competitions for children and adults with disabilities that will be held at DeFazio Field in Newton.
