Because the free form narrative "Comments" fields are merged cells Excel disables the auto height function that would properly size the row height based on volume of text entered.
One method of increasing the size of the field is to click your cursor in the Comments field and then click the down arrow to the right in the formula bar. (See image left below.). To collapse the field click the up arrorow.
Another method of increasing the size of the field is to click your currsor in the Comments field, then hover your cursor over the bottom margin of the formula bar. (See image right below.). A double arrow icon will appear and allow you to size the formula bar window to show all of your text and allow easier editing. When done just hover your cursor over the bottom margin of the formula bar amd resize it so it does not diminish your available screen area.
