Creative Writing ClubFounded by members of the Creative Writing capstone, our main focus is collaboration, and most of all, community. You can post your own work and receive reactions from other members, or simply discuss preexisting media. This club is for anyone who writes, has an interest in writing, or simply wants to read. We have subgroups to allow a more intimate group experience, including channels specifically for those with a focus on poetry, creative fiction, creative nonfiction, and fanfiction.

Currently, the club is mostly only on Discord. Once we get more members at the Club Fair, however, we'll start collecting schedules and determine a day we can meet!

Anyone is welcome, whether they were or plan to be part of CW Capstone, or not! As long as you have a passion for writing or reading, you are absolutely encouraged to join.

We have a partnership with the Poetry Club as well, and will likely have joint meetings every now and then.

Soul Food ClubDifferent from Cooking Club, Soul Food Club is more cultural. Anyone can join, but the food created are connected to African American culture. In this club, we will learn how to create both common and uncommon soul food dishes. The main purpose of Soul Food Club is to teach students how to make delicious meals on a budget. I’m aware that we’ll be college students soon and will need to fend for ourselves. I plan to teach my peers how to budget, stretch, and most importantly survive. Grocery prices are high and most kids will stick to noodles and cereal during their college years. I aim to show them alternative ways to make inexpensive, delicious, and filling meals that can feed them for a few days. It’s important for teenagers to learn how to be independent. They’ll achieve cooking, survival, and budgeting skills in this club. In addition, they’ll take with them life long lessons that can benefit them in the near future.
