Update (1/29/2018): Updated emulation section.

This route only works on a Gameboy Player, using the default palette. (Don't press any buttons on the D-Pad on the "Game Boy" screen.)

Emulation:
6
The best option for this route is BGB. In order to get the RNG to generate the correct values, under Options, you need to have the emulated system to set to GBC, the GBC bios, and bootroms enabled.

Thanks to ShinerCCC and Poxnor for laying the foundations of this route.

This document mostly uses map names from the Tower Reversed

It's an invaluable reference site for FFL.

Also of great value, the resource page on TASvideos for this game, which can be found here:

Control Tips
23
Holding down A and mashing on left or right on the D-Pad causes A inputs everytime you press and release a button on the D-Pad. It's a great way to mash through battles where you just use your top ability or rely on cursor memory.
24
Holding down A and a direction lets you clear the last text box of battle automatically. Don't do this on a vehicle though as you risk disembarking.
25
For running away from battles, hold down and A to run away instantly. This doesn't work as well for pre-emptive battles and battles where you attempt to run away multiple times.
