Intro // Intentions // How to Use this Workbook
2
-----In the spirit of this solidarity statement, this workbook serves as an effort to amplify the voices of Black activists in the midst of the 2020 uprisings sparked by a spate of white supremacist murders and the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on Black and brown communities. In an effort to prioritize amplification rather than duplication, many of the resources included are existing compilations, such as lists of petitions to sign or venues for donation.
3
-----The workbook is intended for use by mutual aid organizers and participants operating in the Greater Boston Area and/or in the state of Massachusetts. It is our hope that it can be used as a list of actionable solidarity items for white and non-Black POC members of our mutual aid groups, a list of support resources for the Black members of our mutual aid groups, and a call to long-term/structural/political action by the powerful community networks we've been building since the onset of COVID-19 (and, for many, long before).
4
-----Each tab at the bottom of this workbook (and linked below) contains information on and online links to resources that can facilitate both immediate and long-term actions of solidarity.
5
-----Resources in bold at the top of each tab are meant as "beginner" resources for those just starting to get involved in anti-racist/racial justice work, while those at the bottom of each tab are meant as "deeper dives" into the issues and actions. ***Still working on this part! Thank you for your patience!***
