There was a cinnamon spiciness on the retrohale that was nice as well. The once pleasant retrohale has completely morphed into a tear inducing sinus bomb that has me saying no to the next retrohale. The wrapper is mostly smooth with some bumps. The veins are visible but not prominent to touch. No major blemishes to the surface of the wrapper. There are three well applied caps. | 92.5 | The cigar has a strong aroma of coffee and cocoa with the foot emanating tobacco. The dry puff however was very spicy with black pepper and cayenne. The puff left a strong tingling on the tip of the tongue. There is a mild earthiness in the background as well. | 87.5 | Medium-Strong | Medium | The initial puff was mild but then the pepper appeared with a blast and ramped to a very strong level. The pepper was so strong that it drowned out most of the other flavors. I could rarely get a whiff of some earthy flavors of hay and some woodsy notes in between. The pepper persists for quite a while but thankfully mellows out a bit as we reach the end of the third. No issues present with the draw or the burn. The smoke was voluminous and creamy. The pepper is still present in every puff and gravitating to the back of the throat but more pleasant. Towards the end of the third however the pepper is again picking up.
