nltp s27 2nd best co-captain for a team whose "captain" placed bottom 2, nftl finals g7 ot loser
my mental disintegrates the instant i am assigned a responsibility
i see myself filling one of the numerous absentee crc slots who get voted in and don't do anything the entire season
no need (see q6)
#freestumbino
1. regular seasons are replaced with nftl, ctf is a yearly off-season league
2. disband minors and novice, ctf is now only majors (4 teams from 16 draftable players)
3. bottom majors team gets relegated, new draftable players are taken from top nftl regular season performers (point system tbd)
only one tier, problem solved
if comparable skill level might have to reduce # ctf teams to 2, also tbd

I’ve been playing since nltp s3, and have captained several times throughout that stretch, including the last couple of minors seasons.
Yes. I plan on being around plenty for games and scrims anyway, plus I am pretty much always reachable on discord with mobile. I don’t know if I can put a number to the number of hours but I’d expect it to be a lot. Part of being on the crc I would assume involves having a larger workload so I’m prepared for that
I would really try to be as active and transparent as possible, particularly with the player base. If we need a spreadsheet guy I can also fill that role. Again I am active all the time so being available to communicate with the player base and captains would be top of the list for me
I’ve been a member of the minors/A team crowd for basically my entire time playing this game. I feel like I have a very good grasp on the concerns and issues pertaining to that group. The only tier I would say I haven’t spent a ton of time with is majors, although I am hoping that changes this next season as well.
I’ll give you two. 1) I was not a fan of allowing the players who ghosted in s27 to play in s28 with the “contracts.” I understand they wanted players. That being said, the players should have been punished under the ruleset that they ghosted during, which was supposed to carry a ban. Players that were involved in those contracts ended up in some slightly controversial spots during the season, which imo should have been avoided entirely. 2) I was and continue to be against position restrictions. With the team nature of this game is and the fluidity of positions, I just don’t see how you can both enforce it and accurately value players in a draft with position restrictions.
There were some small situations in minors that should warrant some small rule changes (the cherry bomb “loans”, GI drops after the regular season) to clarify those exact situations. I’d be interested in allowing the top seeds in playoffs to choose any team below them, not just the bottom half. For example round one of minors playoffs this season letting rsp pick any team below them, rather than just the 4 bottom seeds left. I also think that the FA could be adjusted for both majors and minors, mostly as it pertains to timing. Depending on the length of season I’d like to see the drops from the leagues above move to a different time in the season.
Yes. They signed up to play they should be allowed to play.
I think what we had was fine. 8 majors, 14 minors, 8 novice. If any adjustment was to be made I think minors should have gone to 16 and novice down to 6, however I thought the balance this season was good

I've played 7 seasons of NALTP and 2 seasons of ELTP. I've run tournaments during the off-season (KELVINVITATIONAL), and I'm currently working on modernizing some of the tagpro-related websites.
I am ready to commit as much time as this position requires. Like most people in this community, I work full-time, so the hours I am available are stacked at the end of each day with more time available on weekends. Should the workload be larger than I anticipate, I'll just have to prioritize my days around it. Obviously, I have to keep work at top priority, but should I take on this commitment, I can guarantee that I will fulfill my duties as a CRC member.
I feel as if I can be molded into any role that needs to be filled. I speak to some captains (such as ASAP, flaccid trip, Poeticalto) regularly and I have a solid compass for controversies. I like to think that I'm fairly active in the community and there are plenty of people who I believe can vouch for that.
I can provide the best representation for minors and novice, as I've played in both of these leagues recently. I'm not as familiar with majors as (you guessed it) I have not played in majors recently.
I want to take another look at the playoffs formats for each league. I am not a fan of bye weeks first of all, and I would like to take a look at what a double-elimination playoffs format would look like. I don't have all the answers, but I believe that collectively we can come up with something better. Looking through last season's CRC decisions, I can't find anything else I strongly disagree with.
I don't have any issues with the rulebook as it currently stands. With Free Agents as an example, I've done some exploration on my own of what it would look like to change the rules significantly. What about a trickle-down system, where FAs were forced to go through a selection by Majors, then minors, and finally novice teams, making it so any player could sign up midseason no matter their skill level? It sounds nice in theory, but other issues are brought up by a change like this. What I'd like to focus on is not necessarily the rules themselves, but how the rules are communicated to the players. I would like to work on an abbreviated and condensed rulebook (still keeping the original rulebook, this is in addition to the main rulebook) to make it easier for players and CRC members to figure out how to do the right thing.
For conduct violations, no. Players who can't function appropriately in a higher league shouldn't be let into lower leagues with the same issues present. This should always be handled on a case-by-case basis as everyone's situation is always different, but as a rule of thumb, changing the league won't change the player.
8 for majors just feels nice. Novice should be 8-10 teams. Minors, I believe, can make up the difference. Minor league feels like the flagship "Everyone can get here if you practice and you have good gamesense" league. Minors should be more flexible than novice and majors and adjust to fill the gaps.

Idk anything that the CRC did or didn't do last season.
I will get Mapache Chief in MLTP rotation this season. The silent minority (BDL) will NOT silence the voices of MLTP.
Yes. Let the people play.

Spheroid.
Been in the community for coming on ten years. In that time I’ve captained teams across NLTP, mLTP, and MLTP with three trophies to show for it. I’ve also been a member of the CRC twice before and instituted some changes I’m very proud of, and I’m back to continue.
I always make time for TagPro and I’ll focus less on playing next season to focus more on CRC duties.
I’m good with policy reasoning, league integrity, and getting momentum going for necessary votes. I’m also very communicative if people have questions or concerns.
I’ve played in NLTP for the last six seasons, I’ve won three mupers as a captain, and I’m a Majors fanboy since S3 so I’m ready and willing to affect positive change at all different levels of play.
The handling of Free Agency was abysmal this Novice season. Time and time again these players like Kelvin and Adawg barge into the league late and destroy competitive integrity. The rulebook clearly stated that they shouldn’t have been allowed to join FA and yet without even modifying that rule the opposite decision was reached. This failure to abide by rules is one of the major reasons I’m signing up in the first place.
I think we need to fix novice so there’s not an incentive to throw the first three weeks. We gotta stop giving so much advantage to low seeds with busted FAs. I think the league is running pretty well at the higher tiers but we still see captains making lopsided and stupid trades. I think we need to consider not allowing trades to transpire period. Or maybe a harsh review process for proposed trades.
I think in many cases it makes sense, and it’s kinder than having their season simply end. But it’s also often unfair to those teams on the bubble who just barely miss out on these overpowered drops.
Ideally I think 8 majors 8 novice and then however many minors is the correct call

CheezedoodleYesAlso yesAlso also yes
Used to say novice but at this point I’m familiar with everything
Not a fan of deviating from the rulebook to allow experienced FAs into the league. Situations like this will ideally be worked out in time as we have more people understanding the rulebook as it is written and can adjust rules before the season instead of making decisions around them during the season
I want to try again for playoff scenarios that don’t require byes. I didn’t have much CRC support for non-elimination games but I’d like to explore similar setups again
Yes, everyone signs up to play, they deserve to at least be in control of that if they haven’t don’t anything wrong aside from not meet their captains expectations
I thought we were right on this season. 10 majors would be nice but I prioritize keeping minors clearly larger than majors and that wouldn’t be the case with 10 majors teams. Minors should never become “not majors”, it needs to be its own league with its own appeal

Founded NLTP, longtime NLTP commissioner, NALTP commissioner past 2 seasons.
Yes, I have spent and will continue to spend whatever time is necessary to help run the league.
I will continue to drive discussions forward within the CRC, including being aggressive about starting votes and ensuring that decisions are reached in a timely manner. I will once again take the lead on offering people captaincy spots, running free agency, and administering playoff logistics (such as map selection and opponent picking).
I think that while I have been a longtime mLTP level player, I do a good job in helping run all three levels.
Looking back at the voting list, there were only two meaningful decisions that I was in the minority on - I voted to only have the first round of the MLTP draft follow big board nomination order instead of captains nominating players, while we wound up having two rounds follow that system, and I voted to have 11 teams make the playoffs in mLTP while we ended up having 10 teams make the playoffs. Neither are things that I feel strongly about now - my thought with the MLTP draft was that it made sense to have the top tier of Majors players be nominated at the beginning all in a row, but that one round was sufficient for this, and afterwards it would be better to allow captains flexibility on who they want to nominate. For next season, I’d like to talk to this season’s MLTP captains to get their thoughts on whether it should be for one round, two rounds, or potentially scrap the system altogether.
I think that mLTP should probably use waiver points for free agency, similar to NLTP did this season. I think that system overall worked better and felt fairer, even though it wound up being mostly meaningless given the limited drops. While Mr Morale and the Nub Steppers probably isn’t complaining about missing out on a free agent in mLTP by one point given how the rest of their season worked out, I think it’s generally better when every team has the ability to at least try and get a free agent. For a non-rulebook change, I would like to find a way to bring back some version of the NALTP Cup.
While I understand the distaste some people have when a team gets a dropped player as a free agent and does better, I don’t think it’s fair to lock a player out of NALTP (which potentially means they can’t play competitive tagpro for a couple months) by saying “I know every captain thought you weren’t good enough for that tier, but we’ve decided you’re too good to be allowed to play in the next tier.”
If we have the same number of signups then I think this team distribution worked well, ideally we can grow the league again to get back to something like 10-16-8.

gm since s25? I think.
yes I’m always active.
Whatever role is needed the most, pretty flexible and don’t mind doing what needs to be done to have a smooth exp
All tiers, been a captain or played in all the tiers and have been pretty involved.
I keep bringing this up but inconsistency in the rulings. There are times when the rule book is interpreted loosely and other times where they are strictly sticking to it. For example gms veto old dumb rules should be a thing
Like the previous example, let gms veto old dumb rules. It’s basically a handicap to progression
Depends on their perceived skill level and whether they can be league breaking. Ultimately I don’t want people to end their season halfway through but if they are too good for the tier below, it’s kinda unfair. Esp for novice where every team makes playoff
10 - whatever - 10. Need 10 majors team so there is more hype for majors

NLTP CRC, MLTP CRC, 10+ seasons of captain, etc.
Not really a ton of time, but will be able to manage it. Unsure of the amount of hours, but will be active enough to be there for every vote and be able to see discussion on any issues.
In the past I've generally been active with captains and have always looked for community feedback when it comes to major decisions or changes.
Pretty familiar with every tier, though novice has some changes I might not know about now.
I think for the most part everything was fine. In novice, the decision to let adawg in was somewhat controversial but maybe could have been handled differently by letting minors captains have first chance at picking him up.
Get rid of position restrictions, add 7th week for minors, no drops unless gross inactivity
Don't allow drops unless due to gross inactivity.
Ideally 10 majors, 10-12 minors, rest in novice.
