Full transciption: "Lord Davies was born in Llandinam, Montgomeryshire in 1880. He became Chairman of the King Edward VII Memorial Appeal which did much to counter the scourge of tuberculosis in Wales. Following service in France during the First World War and a period as a member of Lloyd George's political staff, he became actively involved with the search for a stablle international order through the League of Nations Union. In particular he dovted much of his energies to promoting the concept of a peace keeping International Police Force. It was to combine the two ideals of Peace and Health that he founded this building. It was dedicated to the memory of the fallen of Wales in the Great War of 1914-1918.
