DressageI am unsure of the dimensions of the arena at the Elma fairgrounds, will the full size dressage court fit in this arena? I believe the larger court is necessary for the level 1 test? Thanks!We have made the decision to change the Dressage test for the season to USEF Training Level 3 in order to accommodate arena sizes across the state. Training Level 3 will use the small court

Working RancherWhen athlete is picking up their horse's foot at the end of the pattern, should they demonstrate a ground tie or should the athlete keep a hand on the reins? This question will be brought to the judge's and will be shown appropriately in the pattern demo videos coming soon.

Otheryou don't need to post this to show my ignorance, but when clicking on the patterns, it goes to the canva link... how can they be downloaded from there... it has a share link option?? If i right click to save, it saves it as a mhtml file not a pdf... if i try to print just one of two pages, it tells me it is "outside the bounds"... would like the pdf versionsI will figure this glitch out and get back to you ASAP

OtherSome patterns show a cone on the left side with no distance off the wall. Other patterns show starting dimensions from the entrance wall giving no space to stage next group or riders. Are we allowed to adjust placement in the arena of the pattern? Without starting from half or center lines the size of the patterns will change based on what arena they are set up in. Can you please offer solutions to these issues.

ReiningYou list NRHA pattern 3 as the reining pattern, but your instructions say stay 26 feet off the wall but the NRHA pattern says 20 feet or 6 meters can you confirm that we are doing it differently than the NRHA pattern and have to stay 26 feet off the wall for the pattern?This is a typo. The pattern should read 20 ft and will be updated. Thank you

The first barrel will be eliminated. After your backthrough and sidepass, you will do a 180 degree turn and go straight to the trot poles.

Hunt Seat Equitation Over FencesIn the huntseat over fences pattern drawn this year jump number 5 is a trot jump posted at 2 ft 6, however Chapter EQ Equitation Division section 113 of the USEF rulebook number 8 states "8. Jump low obstacles at a trot as well as a canter. The maximum height of trot jump is determined as 6”
lower than class requirements and is not to exceed 3’ for horses and 2’ for ponies. Oxers may be used
as a trot jump in classes listed at 3’6” or higher." which would require this jump to be at 2 ft. How are we going to address this?		Thank you - jump number 5 will no longer be a trot fence and will stay at 2'6". Official communication on this change will be sent out asap

Saddle Seat EquitationSaddle seat riders are not supposed to take their horses from a trot to a canter so we've always done interrupted lead changes in WAHSET but your pattern this year says we can do simple lead changes meaning canter-trot-canter. the USEF rule book on pg 32 of EQ says lead changes in saddle seat go canter - walk or halt -canter the usef rule book uses the term simple but in wahset this would be an interrupted lead change. Both an interupted or a simple lead change will be allowed. Judges will score accordingly. There are breed associations that compete in saddleseat where simple changes are allowed.
