Enter working trot.

Halt. Salute. Proceed working trot
Straightness of centre line & halt. Transitions. Quality of trot.66CL is straight and halt is balanced and immobile. note that your horse is really pushing against your left leg and that his left hind leg steps out side of the fron putting him on 3 rather than 2 tracks. use more left leg to ask him to step under more with the left hind to create straightness in him
12
2CTrack right. Proceed to M.Smoothness of turn. Quality of trot.77quite supple with energy. sit a bit taller and look up
13
3M - X - KChange rein, working trot rising. Proceed to A.Straightness on diagonal. Quality of trot.77straight with balance in corners but bouncing a bit in connection. while your horse feels as if he is going forward, note that his hind legs/hocks trail out behind him- increase your lower leg and encourage him to push more from the HQ and drop his pelvis to "sit" more and connect more honestly to your hand
14
4ACircle left 20m in diameter. Proceed to B.Roundness & balance on circle.6.56.5steady tempo and band but note the incosistency in the connection. you have a farily straight arm and wide hand and are trying to pull your horse into the connection and frame rather than pushing him into it from behind. put your hand together, straighten your wrists, ben your elbows and allow the roundness rather than trying to force it
15
5BWorking canter left lead and circle left 20m in diameter. Proceed to C.Transition. Roundness & balance on circle. Quality of canter.6212willing but very braced against hand and hollow in back. try to relax your seat and allow yourself to move with the saddle rather than trying to create the swing of the canter. relax your hands and bend your elbows and allow your horse to take your hand more forward rather than trying to restrict him. if he is pulling use 1/2 halts- and losts of them as you need! if you feel that he is behind your leg- "hug" him to encourage him to bring his back up and power up his HQ- if he ignores you a gentle kick (or more) is fine

HB
Working trot. Proceed to H.

Change rein in half- arena, working trot.
Transition. Quality of trot.66unbalanced transition but obedient. it is hard to balance the down trans if the horse is hollow an braced in the canter so the canter quality will dictate your transition. please not how lovely his trot is across the short diagonal! here he is pushing nicely through his back and body with his HQ an look how soft and forward your hands are!! This is what I want through the whole test

8*A - K

K - X - H
Medium walk.

Loop, free walk.
Transition. Quality of medium walk. Relaxation of free walk.6.5213A little behind vertical in FW but relaxed an covering ground. I love your hands in the FW! Now relax your seat and flow with him so he stays more supple an swinging in his back. Us the corner to help you pick him back up so you have a bend rather than trying to pick him up and causing him to brace.
19
9H - CMedium walk.Transition. Quality of walk.6.56.5a little tentative in the connection an tense anticipating trot trans

10C - B

B
Working trot.

Circle right 20m in diameter. Proceed to A.
Transition. Roundness & balance of circle.7214energetic and bending but tight in back. note your wide hands an use of outside hand to pull horse out on circle. use your inside leg and seat ais to help put him on your line of travel and put hands together more with that same forward feel I've been talking about
21
11AWorking canter right lead and circle right 20m in diameter. Proceed to E.Transition. Roundness & balance of circle.6.56.5very nice transition into canter but then braces against your hand and hollows against your seat. try to soften you seat and allow it to be pushewd by the saddle and use your legs to drive the horse if he feels sluggish. your riving seat is causing him to arch away from you
22
12EWorking trot. Proceed to C.Quality of trot.66obedient but awkward. because he is hollow in the canter he is unable to use his HQ to sit into the downward transition and needs to throw his head up to balance his shoulders
23
13*CCircle right 20m rising trot, allowing the horse to stretch forward & downward. Before C, shorten the reins.
Proceed to M.
Forward / downward stretch into light contact maintaining balance / quality of trot. Bend/ size / shape of circle. Balance of transitions.6212stretches but falls on shoulers and runs, hollows with 1/2 halt. try to stay tall in your upper boy and core- remember he is the one stretching forward and down- not you! maintain a soft feel and engage your core so that you can gentl;y half halt as he stretches to help him maintain balance and truly elongate his topline and not just dive down
24
14M - X - KChange rein working trot sitting.Straightness on diagonal. Quality of trot.6.56.5active and straight. you look as if you are holding yourself against the motion rather than allowing yourself to go with it- remember your upper body and core are stron and hold you but your seat and low back need to soften and follow the horse's hips as he swings you forward and back and side to side.

Turn down centre line.

Halt. Salute.
Straightness on diagonal. Quality of trot. Straightness of centre line & halt.66right hind out to side so on 3 tracks. the lovely part about you sitting his trot is that you are much more forward thinking with your hands (good for you) and allowing him to stretch and reach an the fram is better.
26
Leave arena in free walk.

This is a really nice pair with the potential to move up the levels with higher scores. Continue to think about using your core and seat and legs aids to push your horse into your hand and allow yourself to relax your seat and hips to better allow your horse to swing under you. The more you think back to front, the better your horse is and he is already very nice! Best of luck to you both.
