Snowflake provides a cloud based data platform for organizations, corporations, and enterprises both in the US and the

international market. The company offers Data Cloud, which enables customers to consolidate data and drive insights and

information about their businesses, industry and consumers. The platform also allows companies to build data driven

applications and share data and products.

Snowflake was founded in 2012 by three ex-Oracle data warehouse experts, Beniot Dageville, Thierry Cruanes, and Marcin

Zukowski. he company anointed Bob Muglia- a Microsoft executive- as its CEO, and successfully raised $26M in 2014,

and came out of stealth mode. Snowflake (SNOW) had its IPO on Sep 16, 2020, and by the end of its debut trading day, the

price was 112% more than its expected offering range of $100-$110/ share. The company sold nearly 28 million of its shares

and raked in $3.4B, making it one of the biggest software IPO ever.
