Here is what each job "entails"
46
Pre-DriveDrive all or part of the route, make sure that the controls haven't changed and are open. Look for serious pavement issues and potholes. We would like to start using neon paint to draw attention to any craters on the route. Cue sheets and RWGPS are posted on the GLR site/calendar now. MUST BE DONE at least 5 days before the start so we have time to make updates to the route. We will reimburse for paint costs.
47
Start HelpBring bananas or donuts, greet people, check people in, check lights and reflective gear. Must stay at the start for 1 hour after the start to support people that are late (up to 1 hour per RUSA rules)
48
SAGBe on call to pick up a DNFing rider. You don't have to be on the course, just available by phone and willing to help out. Bike rack or a large vehicle is useful
49
Finish HelpWe need to know that everyone is done and safe (finishers and non-finishers). If you can be there to make sure everyone gets in and is safe, that is super helpful and helps differ additional costs. Rider's frequently forget to let us know they are finished - particularly when they finish electronically.
