3/8/2016FieldTurfUSATurf & Track for District SchoolsRFP 16-17Boulder Valley School District is waiving the requirements of C.R.S. 8-17-101 for the installation of turf and track for District schools. The reasons for the waiver are as follows:

The District issued a Request for Proposals for the installation of turf and track and awarded the contract to FieldTurfUSA, whose bid was in the best interest of the District. FieldTurfUSA is using Colorado labor on the majority of the work for the project. However, as a condition of providing the product warranty, FieldTurfUSA’s installation team, which is not based in Colorado, must install the turf. Therefore, compliance with C.R.S. 8-17-101 would create an undue burden on the District that would substantially prevent the project from proceeding to completion.
