KAA PARK RULES

1)      NO beverages or food may be brought into the park.

2)      NO alcoholic beverages are allowed in the parking lot.

3)      NO pets are allowed (even small, cuddly cute ones!)

4)      NO roller blades, skate boards or bikes.

5)      Coolers are only allowed for ICE, WATER, and ATHLETIC DRINKS, and may be used ONLY by players and coaches in the dugouts.

6)      Spectators are NOT allowed to bring coolers into the park.

7)      Please keep your field area clean by placing your trash in one of the numerous trash cans located in the park.

8)      No hitting of balls into fences or digging holes in the turf.

9)      KAA is a no smoking facility. Smoking in designated areas only.

10)  At no time may a parent or spectator who has consumed alcohol prior to or during a game enter the dugout or field of play. No beer is allowed in the dugout.

11)  The manager is responsible for the conduct of players, coaches and parents.

Additional Tournament Rules

1)      Game rules will follow the 2017 KAA Baseball Rules*. National rules will be used in all divisions.

2)      KAA Pitching Limits will be enforced in accordance with 2017 KAA Baseball Rules*. This is per game only. Note: at 9u if a team allows 5 runs in an inning, any remaining outs will be assessed to the pitcher's total. For example, if there is only 1 out when the team allows the 5th run, the pitcher will have the remaining 2 outs added to their total.

3)      Metal cleats will be allowed for only ages 13U and above. No metal cleats on the pitchers mound.

4)      Face guards on batting helmets are recommended, but not required at ages 9U and younger.

5)      Players may not participate in games for more than one team within the same age group.

6)      It is the manager's responsibility to confirm all game times/assignments by reading the tournament board posted at the concession stand, checking online at www.kwdaa.com, or contacting the tournament coordinators.

7)      KAA Reserves the right to adjust game time limits, field assignments, and game times as needed due to weather.

8)      Mercy Rules are 20 runs after 2 innings, 15 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 4 and 8 runs after 5. The game is over once the conditions of the Mercy Rule have been met.

9)      Runs per inning rule will be in force in accordance to KAA 2017 Baseball Rules*.

10)  Championship games will be untimed. Mercy rules are still in effect.

11)  Foul balls need to be returned promptly to the umpires.

12)  Pool games can end in a tie. For elimination games, in the event of a tie after the completion of the time limit or regulation innings, the following tiebreaker rule will apply: Each half inning will start with a runner on 2nd base (the last batted out from the previous inning) and one out. The game will continue until a winner is determined.
