Watch Maggie's Instructional video in the App. Then start with the Snapshot tab and enter all your expenses, income, and debt here. This is a great place to see everything in one place.

The Net Worth tab can be used to track your net worth over time. It has monthly entry spots, but don't feel like you have to enter all the info every month. Every 3-6 months would be good to help you get an idea of how you're progressing over time.

If you need help budgeting and figuring out where your money is going, start with the month prior to now and enter all of your transactions for last month. Keep reading for how to add categories.

I have hidden additional months and a debt calculator which you can find by clicking the three lines in the bottom left. You can hide tabs by clicking on the arrow on the tab and selecting hide.

After you've entered the transactions for last month, go to the current or next month "budget" tab (whenever you'd like to start your new budget) and enter your planned expenses. Use the information you gathered from backtracking your expenses to help you set realistic budget amounts.

You can erase and add your own categories, but don't erase the entire line, just the space where you will enter your new category. You can also retitle a category as you see fit. For example, say you don't drink coffee. You can just type over "coffee" with something else more relevant.

As you enter your transactions, if you have one that isn't already on the "budget" page, then go add it there. After adding the category to the budget page you will then see it as a dropdown option in the transaction worksheet. In other words, add the budget category FIRST in that month's budget tab, before you enter it in your transactions tab.

You should only use the "budget" page to enter categories and planned expenses. All spending should be entered into the transactions page and that will populate into the budget page as the month goes on.
