Elements which must be performed on both hands are so indicated by an L | R under
“Preliminary Notes.” Omitted compulsory elements receive a “0” and are averaged into the
“Judge’s Marks.” Judge’s marks for Technical Correctness must be given in half points or

Fun to watch. Music is very appropriate to talented pair. Jog music could be one or two bpm slower, he looks a little bit hurried in the jog which flattens the gait slightly. Well done !!!

I enjoyed watching you on this lovely horse that I haven’t seen before. He’s very nice, correct basics, willing attitude and a relaxed way of going.
I do have a couple training suggestions and music choice suggestions.
I would like to see you keep your hands closer together more consistently. The wide hands may help steady him, but you are skilled enough to use leg aids for that. It appears at times that your heels tend to come up. Have you considered shortening your stirrups one hole ? That may help. However, it that forces your ankles into stiffness, we don’t want that, ankles are our shock absorbers and should never be braced.
The horse has a tendency to get a bit short in the neck which inhibits the poll rotation/flexion that he needs for even more correctness in bending. It will be hard for him to learn to reach, you are both capable. Right now the free walk is his weakest movement, working on having him reach into the bridle, lifting his withers with the thoracic sling will help him become strong enough to reach more in FW.
For both freestyle programs I would like to hear more dynamic entry music, more “Cowboy-ish”. That part is your introduction to the judge and should catch our attention and make us sit up and want to see what’s next. Just make sure that piece matches the theme of the next piece.
The program with One trick pony and Wild Wild West is my least favorite. While those are great pieces of music, they are off tempo for jog. With some adjustment, either may work for walk.
The program that you did twice is much more harmonious and has a very appropriate theme for this horse. The jog piece is slightly too quick in tempo and makes him look short and quick in his gait. Just one or two bpm slower would make a big difference in the quality of the jog. Of course your creative choreography is spot on. It’s almost impossible to show originality in Intro and Basic, and you have mastered that.

Best of luck in the future !!
