Hi! I’m an 8th grade English teacher at a Title I school 15 minutes from where I grew up in CO. Coming back to serve the community that raised me was so important to me after going out of state for college and grad school. It means so much to me that my students see themselves reflected in the books they read, in myself and my fellow staff, and in the way our classroom looks and feels. Outside of the classroom, I’m always with the kids, coaching a dance team and running a youth dance education nonprofit. I get so much joy out of being able to be the adult for these kids that I needed as a child and learning from them everyday. Everything on my list is geared towards helping my students thrive as readers and as their full selves in my classroom!

Hi! I am a high school World History teacher in Florida. My school is full of lively students that come from a broad range of backgrounds and I work hard to make sure they all have the support they need and a level playing field in class. They love hands-on learning to really get immersed into our topics and deepen their understanding. They also enjoy knowing that they're coming to a classroom dedicated to making their learning fun and comfy. The items on my list support both of these. The majority of items are for use in projects or interactive teaching to help students have all the supplies they need and to create immersive learning experiences for them. I also take great care to ensure the classroom is decorated to inspire them, to create a pleasant learning environment, and to make sure they know they are cared about and to meet their needs.

My awesome fifth graders bring tons of heart and creativity to our Dual Language ELA classroom every day. Many of my students are new to the country and are learning English for the first time. This means my classroom has reading levels from K to 8th grade! To help them tackle big challenges and grow as bilingual readers and writers, we always need high-interest books, creative literacy tools, and hands-on supplies. Your support gives these amazing kids the exact resources they need to build confidence and thrive!

We have been asked to launch the Space Academy for the district! Moving from 3rd grade to 6th grade after 20 years in elementary is going to be its own challenge! Creating and writing all new curriculum, bigger kids, smaller rooms with no windows, makes for some creative classroom set ups... one thing that remains the same though is the amount of love we have for our babies! 💕 We’re excited to get to teach them again!

I teach 8th grade English and Yearbook at a public junior high school in Southern California. Every day, I work with students to help them discover books they actually enjoy reading, become more confident writers, and think creatively. My Yearbook students don't just learn how to use cameras and design software—they become photographers, journalists, designers, and storytellers who create a book our entire school community will treasure.
Since our school is not Title I, we often don't qualify for grants and many classroom funding opportunities. I purchase many classroom materials myself so my students have the resources they need. My Amazon wishlist includes books for our classroom library, Yearbook supplies, organizational materials, and creative tools that help students learn, collaborate, and produce a yearbook they'll be proud of. Any support means the world to my students and to me.

We are a parochial school K-8 school in Louisville KY. 600 students come to art class once a week, and we stay really busy! We love doing process art and contemporary art that involves the whole school community! My students are the best! We need a chompsaw to work with recycled cardboard, sculpture supplies and paint markers! These things are not in the school budget this year. These few supplies will help all our 600 students! Thanks for your consideration.

This is finally going to be my first year of teaching in my own classroom! A little backstory, I jumped into a special education teaching position in the 2024-2025 school year to help the students have consistency within the classroom that I was working as a paraprofessional in. Then due to circumstances out of my control, I was unable to continue in that position for the 2025-2026 school year, however, I was fortunate enough to continue teaching in a different capacity. I started the school year off with a long term substitute position within an elementary resource classroom, and that's where I fell in love with the position even more. I spent the rest of the school year dreaming about my own classroom for the 2026-2027 school year and exactly how supportive and enriching I want it to be for these special needs students who just need a little extra help. Whether it's academic, socially, or emotionally, I want to be a safe place where they feel supported enough to open up and allow the learning to happen. As everyone knows, building a classroom is hard and expensive with the limited budget that our school district gives us, so every bit counts and is appreciated! These kids struggle enough in their general education classrooms that they shouldn't dread coming to the one place designed to help them!

I’m returning to my home school to teach at the high school I attended because the community is unmatched. I’ve moved across the country searching for what I had at home all along. Like most other districts in the country, there isn’t enough money to fund our classrooms. My budget covered pencils, new turn in trays, a stapler, and a tape dispenser. I want my classroom to be inviting for my students. Too many kids don’t have a safe place at home, and I strive to make sure they have at least one hour of their day that is safe in my classroom. Teaching is my passion, and after having to leave everything behind at my last school, I’m starting over again with classroom necessities and decor.

Hi! I am a first-year biology teacher at a Title 1 high school in southern California. I'm hoping to stock my classroom with supplies that can be used year after year, benefiting both current & future students. This year, I'll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of students - as all of my classes will be general education classes taught in collaboration with a special education teacher.

I'm most looking forward to fostering my students' love of science and getting to build meaningful relationships with each & every one of them. Thank you in advance for your help & support!

Hi, I'm Troy! 👋 After 15 years teaching in Dickinson, ND (7 years in 4th grade and 8 years in an elementary library), I packed up my life, moved across North Dakota, and hit the reset button. This fall I'm starting a new adventure teaching 6th grade science at Heritage Middle School in Horace, ND!

My students are curious, energetic, and right at that age where they still think science is pretty awesome (my goal is to keep it that way!). I'm working to create a classroom full of hands-on labs, STEM activities, and supplies that make learning memorable—not just another worksheet.

If you're a fellow millennial who survived Oregon Trail, rushed home for TRL, or still quotes The Office on a daily basis, I'd be incredibly grateful if you'd help me "clear the list." Every item gets us one step closer to giving these kids the classroom they deserve.

Thank you for supporting teachers and public education! ❤️

Hi! I’m Megan Facer, and this is my first year teaching a full TK class. My students are some of the youngest in our school, many are just 3 years old and experiencing school for the very first time. I’m transforming my classroom into a play-based environment where children build fine motor skills, social-emotional skills, independence, and a love of learning through hands-on exploration. As a teacher with a master’s degree specializing in Social-Emotional Learning, I believe every child deserves a classroom where they feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. I’m building my TK classroom from the ground up with dramatic play materials, sensory tools, books, toys, and learning supplies that will be used every day. Every gift helps create a magical first school experience for my little learners. Thank you for helping us start the year strong. 💜

Hi! I’m Abby, a school SLP heading into my 8th year of turning games into therapy, celebrating tiny victories that are actually HUGE victories, and convincing kids they’re “just playing” while secretly working on speech and language skills. 😉

Every resource on my list gets loved by so many students throughout the year. From articulation to language to social communication, these materials help make therapy fun, engaging, and something my students actually look forward to.

Our community has been through a lot, including two major floods, and our kids deserve all the joy, safety, and comfort we can give them.

Thanks for supporting my little corner of the school where communication grows, confidence blooms, and every student’s unique way of communicating is valued and accepted. 🩵

My students come from an extreme variety of backgrounds! Around 30-40% of my students are learning English as a second language while the other portion of students have multiple generations still living in the same area. Due to school boundaries my classroom sizes vary from 26-50 students in each classroom! I’ve needed to get creative with how to extend some students’ learning while offering major supports for those with a language barrier. However to accomplish this I need supplies! Many of my supplies are for supporting literacy and providing motivation and comfort for each student that enters my classroom.https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/8RN6RDYDIC1E?ref_=wl_share

Hello,

I teach preschool special education. I have a self contained class which means we have many varying disabilities and exceptionalities. In this current district, we don’t have a set budget for preschool special education as it’s not considered elementary level, therefore, we are often left asking for help through external grants or our student’s families. The students at this site require a lot of sensory and fidget items to help regulate their nervous system. We are also always in need of new toys/ supplies as our kiddos love to play hard! Any assistance is greatly appreciated

Hi there! My name is Caitie and I am a 7/8 social studies teacher in Edmonton, AB, Canada. I work in a community where the majority of our students are English as additional language learners, with many newcomers entering our building throughout the school year. This year, I will be teaching 6 social classes, and 3 film classes, with between 34-38 students in each class. I have been teaching for 9 years, and attempt to have anything and everything students would need for success in my room — supplies, snacks, and as many opportunities I can realistically provide to listen to them throughout the school day. This list is just a few of the things I’ve been hoping to get for my students these past couple of years to support them and me as we move forward with our learning. Thank you for any support you can provide, we all appreciate it.https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/11G609P2L86GL?ref_=wl_share

Hello! I am an Art Teacher at a 9th and 10th grade campus in my district. This is my 10th year teaching at a title 1 school. Over the summer there was a small fire in my school cause by construction and a good chunk of my supplies will most likely be considered ruined because of smoke or water. (We don’t know how much because we haven’t been let in to see yet) My students are amazing. They have been thrown some of life’s biggest hurdles at such a young age and they keep pushing through. They are fun, silly, smart, and so so capable. I love seeing them by the end of time together look back at the beginning and realize how much they have grown not just artistically but as a person. Art teaches you more than just how to draw, it gives you a place to escape, have fun, think critically and to do something with a part of your brain that isn’t normally worked. I love creating new opportunities for my students to grow and have these moments.

Hello! I am the only music teacher at a Title I Elementary/Middle school in Baltimore City. I teacher general music to every scholar PreK-8th grade (≈550+ students). I am laying down roots at this school to build our music program. This past year my 3rd graders were invited to sing at central office! I want to expand performance opportunities for all grades so students can contribute to and feel connected to their community.
My philosophy of music teaching involves multiple avenues of experiencing music: creating, observing, listening, moving, reflecting, performing, and reading. This requires (1)proper musical equipment (2) developmentally musical experiences for each grade level. This is difficult for me to obtain due to teaching 10 different grade levels with an avg class size of 22+.

Contributing to our wishlist will benefit hundred of students by the beginning of August!!

Hi! My name is Abby Dickert, and I have the privilege of teaching middle school art at Sevier Middle School, where I’ve spent the past 15 years doing what I truly love.

For me, the most important part of back-to-school season isn’t just gathering supplies or decorating my classroom—it’s creating a space where students feel seen, valued, and safe. Before I can teach art, I want my students to know they have an adult they can trust, someone who believes in them, encourages them, and helps them discover their creativity and confidence.

I am incredibly proud of the art program I’ve built over the years. Each semester I have the opportunity to teach more than 250 students across 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Visual Art, as well as a high school-level Art I class. Watching my students grow—not only as artists, but as young people—is the greatest joy of my career. There is nothing more rewarding than helping a child realize they are capable of creating something they never thought possible.

I love my job. But it’s the kids that make the job what it is.

This is year 16 in elementary education for me and my first year teaching 3rd grade. My wishlist has been carefully constructed to meet the needs of all learners in my classroom. I teach at Rosa Parks Elementary School in Lexington Kentucky. Our school is a wonderful place to be, but like all public education we have a lot of needs going unmet and dollars don't stretch the way they used to. We have a lot of English Language Learners in our school that require unique supplies to learn English in conjunction with content. We also have a growing population of students who are living below the poverty line and are unhoused. My goal is to always be a teacher who provides a safe and fun environment for my learners and part of doing that is ensuring that I have not only supplies for learning, but also supplies to make our classroom a warm and inviting place to be. Any donation contributed goes directly to my students and is used fully by them or by me to meet their goals as students this year. Thank you for considering me and for doing this on behalf of teachers everywhere!https://a.co/06UBvnfL

I’m a 2nd grade teacher in New Castle, CO. We are mostly a bedroom community as most of my students parents work between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. We have a high immigrant population as well. My students are often without snacks or supplies, and I often buy things out of my own budget. I’m in my 9th year teaching and 2nd in 2nd grade. This year I’m looking to add some chapter books for my readers, and decor to my Disney themed classroom, as well as getting myself a new desk. (I haven’t had a desk in several years because I use my classroom budget on other things). I’m always looking for Crayola markers, crayons and colored pencils, as well as Ticonderoga pencils. We need tissues and paper towels because the school doesn’t provide good ones of either. I’m also wanting to upgrade my class set of privacy folders. Thank you for looking and considering helping us!

Hi all! I’m entering my 8th year of teaching this upcoming school year. I’m very excited because this year I will be teaching a new grade level, 5th grade. For the last seven years I worked with pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. I’ve been ready for a change but had to undergo recertification and exams to secure the license needed to teach 5th grade. I’m in the process of donating my old supplies and would love to replenish my teacher supplies with items appropriate for my 5th graders. I’m looking to make the classroom environment welcoming and homey with flexible seating and get materials aligned to a social emotional classroom with resources for students to learn academically but decompress as 5th graders is a heavily standardized tested grade. I looking to have a great year learning with and respectfully loving my students. Anything helps!

I haven’t met this year’s 101 students yet, but based on my previous four years, I expect a diverse group of technologically savvy middle schoolers. Some will be gifted, some chatty, some reluctant, and all will be extraordinary.

That is the exciting part: they do not know yet. From something as simple as a writing instrument to glue sticks, cardstock, and sticky notes, these materials help make the creative, hands-on work in our classroom possible. Students may use them to complete a sticky-note analysis of Jekyll & Hyde, design book covers for The Call of the Wild, create movie posters for “Button, Button,” develop Anne Frank diary and timeline projects, construct one-pagers and Wanted posters, investigate the missing necklace from “The Necklace,” create vocabulary Frayer model flash cards, and annotate short stories.

Every donated item, whether it is a pack of pencils, sticky notes, cardstock, or classroom supplies, helps create opportunities for students to think critically, collaborate, create, and discover strengths they may not even know they have yet.

Thank you for supporting our classroom and investing in these extraordinary students. Your generosity helps make meaningful learning experiences possible every single day.

This is year 10 for me and my bright new beginning. I was budget cut from my school of 5 years and graciously placed at my new school but back in the high stakes testing year of 3rd grade. My new school is a true American melting pot of cultures and I’m excited to see how I can help spark a love of reading and learning in my new students. My classroom needs are mainly for 3rd grade since this will be my first year teaching this level and making sure my room is comforting for optimal student learning!

Thank you so much for helping me grow our sweet, little art room at LES! We appreciate every contribution, no matter how small! ❤️🦁💙

I see 400 students every 3 days, so our supplies work and play hard! My kiddos need new scissors the most right now. We’ve gotten very into Fiber Arts, and it’s hard to weaving away when our scissors aren’t cutting it (fabric and yarn)!

Hey there! I’m Kaylee Warren and I’m an elementary school special education teacher! I teach K-5 life skills and will by starting my 11th year in the fall! My classroom is turning more and more into a room that supports students with autism that need high levels of support.

I’m hoping to add more items to my classroom that will support my students complex needs including sensory items (weighted lap pads, light covers, etc.), children’s books, and flexible seating options.

One thing that I love about my classroom is that when a student starts with me in Kindergarten as a 5 year old, they stay with me for 6 full years until they are ready to go to middle school as a 6th grader! I get to watch them grow from a tiny 5 year old human to an 11 year old!

Thanks for considering my list!

Thank you all for investing in our students’ education! I would love to be able to create a positive and engaging learning experience for my third graders and the items on this wishlist would provide opportunities for that to happen, whether it is books, furniture, storage, or incentives for the kiddos to use. I moved back to third grade two years ago after a few years of kindergarten and any and all donated wishlist items would be much appreciated!

I am entering my 13th year of teaching high school social studies in a diverse, high-need, urban district. This year our district is going through major changes. Many schools closed or consolidated. Prior to this year, I was at the same small school for 9 years. This year will be the first year of our new, larger, consolidated school. I’ll be teaching American History and History of Cleveland. I love teaching high school social studies not only because I am passionate about the subject matter, but because I have the privilege of supporting students as they continue to develop key life skills such as literacy, critical thinking, and empathy. My students also make me laugh and reflect every day! Goals I have for this school year include providing students with opportunities for creativity and choice within the classroom, supporting students as they strengthen their research and writing skills, and implementing new vocabulary strategies. This year is set to be a significant period of challenge and change, but our collaborative staff is prepared to do our best every day to support our students in all facets of growth and provide a positive learning experience. Our students truly work hard setting and pursuing postsecondary goals, participating in sports and clubs, working part-time jobs, helping their families, volunteering, and preparing for required high stakes state tests. The items on this list will help meet their needs and greatly support their studies and success in the classroom. Thank you!!!

This will be my third year teaching kindergarten at Williwaw Elementary School, a Title I school here in Anchorage, Alaska! I am projected to have around 25-30 students in my class this upcoming school year. Because it’s kindergarten, a lot of my needs in my wishlist are the basic necessities like cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies, early reading intervention tools and aids, and snacks! Snack time is a very important time for my students, especially those who are food insecure at home. I try my best to provide students with healthy options. Feeding 25-30 mouths daily is a lot and up until last year and discovering Amazon Wish Lists I was buying all of those snacks on my own with my public school teacher’s salary. My school, Williwaw Elementary, serves about 200 kids on the east side of Anchorage, a very diverse neighborhood in the city. My class’s demographics are mostly Alaska Native, American Samoan, Filipino and Hmong. Every year I have many students who are English Language Learners (ELL) as well! Williwaw is a social emotional learning-focused school and does a lot to help and support the “whole child”. Our school uses restorative, trauma-informed, and compassion-forward techniques, discipline, and instruction to best teach, care for, and support all our students! I would greatly appreciate any donations to my classroom of excited, eager, and enthusiastic kindergartners!

I serve students at a title one school on Long Island. I helped pilot our school’s first small special class this past school year. It was a wonderful and fulfilling career opportunity, as well as learning experience. I was able to reflect on the student’s needs and the classroom environment I’d like to set up for returning and new students. All my students possess a wide range of incredible and diverse abilities. The resources on the wishlist would target academic, social, and emotional needs. I’m hopeful for this opportunity and thank you in advance for any help. I work in a Title 1 high school teaching Resource Social Studies. Although my students are able to learn content a lot of them are reading at a 5th grade level or below. This means we need a lot of differentiated instruction with hands on activities and interactive notebooks. This requires more supplies than the yearly allowance can provide. This year we also lost funding to a newly approved Charter School.

I am an intermediate self-contained moderate to severe disabilities teacher. My students' are amazing and surprise me each and every day with their resilience. I service students with autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, rare chromosomal and medical disorders, and everything in between. We focus on independent daily living skills, and no two days are the same. I have an amazing staff of therapists and paraprofessionals that I would be lost without. There is truly not enough time in the day to accomplish everything that we want, and never enough resources to support their individual goals. Any donation, big or small, would be a blessing!

Hi there! I am a middle school science teacher in New Hampshire! It’s a rural k-8 school, and I get to know my students and their families very well. I love this town I work in and all the people in it! The kids are still old school- riding bikes around town, fishing, and ding dong ditching. They love science and we do great labs. To have some extra things to make my classroom more comfortable and inviting would help these kids REALLY thrive in the classroom. My goal as a teacher is not only to get these 13 year olds engaged with science, but also help them be kind, open minded humans in the world. I typically spend my own money on supplies like this, so this would be a dream. I wouldn’t trade my job for anything!https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/B5HECTBN2XE0?ref_=wl_share

As a school librarian and AIG teacher at a rural elementary school, I am the caretaker of the school's heart. Our building has incredible history and generations of former students community, many of whom help me build a collection worthy of these students. Nothing brings more joy than being able to share a love of reading and learning, but as a Title 1 school the heart outweighs the budget. Keeping the catalog current is an ongoing dream, plus the added needs of enriching our gifted students. Our school is scrappy but tough and I will do anything I can to bring a smile (and a good book) to these kids.

Hello, everyone! I’m going into my 11th year as a special education teacher. Each year, despite my own financial hardships, I spend so much of my own money to ensure my special needs students have everything they need to be successful. Much of what I purchase is related to sensory needs, emotional regulation, life skills, adaptable curriculum, instructional materials/manipulatives, and fun items for break or playtime. My name is Catelynn and I teach 5th grade English Language Arts in a Title 1 school on the North Shore in Massachusetts. During this school year, my district decided to close my school and merge it with another. Because of this merge, I’m going from seeing 36 (two classes of 18) students a day to about 75 (three classes of 25). This means I need A LOT more materials and a few other things to get my room ready for all my new students. My list includes a number of different things including diverse books, colored pencils, hair ties, mini deodorants, and board games for indoor recess among other things. Some of the materials will also help an NWSL themed project I do with my students during state testing weeks. They redesign logos, uniforms, make a team mascot, or research players they think teams should sign. Then they write persuasive letters to the teams to “convince” them to use their designs or sign the player. The students really love this project and it helps with the stress of high stakes testing. Anything and everything helps. Thank you!

I am a preschool teacher in Durham, NC. I teach toddlers (18-23 month olds) and moved to a new classroom this year that previously had older students. I am working to collect age appropriate toys for the littles in my room since very few toys were left behind and we need toys that are not choking hazards since many of my students still put things in their mouth. The new classroom is small, windowless, and made of cinder block walls so I am working to optimize vertical storage, make it feel warm & inviting, and make it less echoey.

I teach high school English. I took a year away from the classroom to be with my new baby, so I feel like a new teacher all over again! I am also taking on a new prep in addition to my 2 previous ones (9th and 10th) - ELD! I’m so excited to be returning to the classroom. My students are lower income and not very motivated oftentimes. I teach in a suburban area that has a small town feel and an inner city feel all at once. Many of my kids’ families have never left the area, so it’s very much an everybody-knows-everybody place. My biggest goals are to build readers and to encourage these kids to check out the world as best they can.

Hi, I'm Ms. Mora. I currently teach 1st grade in Anaheim, California. Throughout my years in education I have taught multiple grade levels in public, private, and charter schools. The one need that I have consistently seen is Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Regardless of grade level, school, socioeconomic status, or IEP status, all students benefit from SEL. It helps students learn to regulation their emotions and problem solve, which are both vital skills we all need. My goal this year is to enhance the SEL offerings in my classroom, making it accessible for all students. I am also trying to grow my classroom library to include books that incorporate SEL ideas and show diverse characters and stories. There are of course some standard classroom supplies that I would love to have, but my priority is making sure that my students feel safe, comfortable, and confident to learn!https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/K4O0ZC59NT5?ref_=wl_share

I enjoy creating hands-on activities for my class and using technology to benefit instruction. I am very dedicated to my profession and I work hard to assist my students with reaching their goals.

Hi! I’m a 12th grade English and creative writing teacher in the metro Nashville school system. My school is one of the more underserved, underachieving, high criminality schools in the district. We have a high teen pregnancy rate, low test scores, high immigrant population, and high gang activity. My students live hard lives and are too grown too young. Many of them deal with immigration insecurity issues, mental health, violence, and poverty. Despite all these things my students are great kids, they are kind and funny and brutally honest and they deserve the best education and support. My classroom needs are essentials; food, hygiene products, storage items, decoration supplies, appliances. My goal is to make my room the space that students can go to for safety and comfort, and so that they can get what they need without having to ask. Several items are basic setup and decoration items, this is because I have to start over from scratch this year. Anything is SO appreciated.

As a K–3 Literacy Interventionist at a Title I campus, I serve more than 70 students each year, many from low-income families and many who have already begun to believe they simply "aren't readers." By the time they come to me, they've often experienced frustration, self-doubt, and a loss of confidence that extends far beyond literacy.

I believe all of my students are already readers! My job is to help students rediscover confidence in themselves. I also want my students to see themselves reflected in the stories they read while also developing empathy by learning about experiences different from their own. Engaging books gives my students the opportunity to feel represented, valued, and connected to the world around them.

Unlike a traditional classroom teacher, I don't have a class with a published school supply list. Instead, I provide materials, books, and literacy resources for dozens of children across multiple grade levels throughout the year. That means my supply needs are significant, but they're often less visible.

Financially, purchasing these materials has become increasingly difficult for my family. My husband lives with a chronic illness, we are limited with our budget. I still try to invest with what I can because I know the difference these resources make! Every tool helps a child build skills, confidence, and a love of reading.

Having my wishlist cleared would mean so much and would help build confidence in my work ahead this year at a new campus with more responsibilities added into my role. Thank you for considering supporting my students and the meaningful work we do together.

I work at a K-6 Title I school, where I teach 6th grade ELA. I have around 55-60 students each year and my main focus is to teach them skills to be successful students that they can use these skills life long for whatever they do. In the classroom we use binders, which are a high need, to organize our learning and we go through the basics like pencils and rulers like crazy. Storage is always a need for their supplies and their curriculum books! Things on my list include daily supplies or organizational pieces as well as small items to gift students for positive behaviors and intriguing books for students.

I work in a K-8 school that is predominantly Hispanic. The kids come with very limited supplies and are often first generation English speakers. It’s a free breakfast and lunch school, but the kids are hungry while waiting so I buy snacks and keep peanut butter and jelly and bread in my cabinet. I purchase feminine hygiene products and they never have to ask for it. The whole middle school knows I keep a hidden stash of band-aids so they always pop in for paper cuts. For years I have purchased things after the school year begins because there is no summer pay and our first check doesn’t come until the end of August. I would love to start a school year off with a decorated classroom that feels ready-to-learn.

I am a Special Education teacher for K-2nd grade students. I teach in an integrated social emotional program. My students have emotional behavior disorders along with learning disabilities. The majority of my day is spend deescalating student behaviors and differentiating instruction. I do this mostly through art exploration, read alouds, and adjusting curriculum to meet each student where they are at. This requires a lot of art supplies and access to books and supplemental curriculum that the district does not pay for. My husband once asked me if I thought I had made more money than I have spent. Most likely, no. I put everything I have and am into helping these kids integrate back into general education classrooms. Please help me nurture them to success!

I am implementing way more paper and pencil activities this year (the Chromebooks are a thorn in my side!) and am trying for more engaging activities. It is important to me that my students feel safe and welcomed in my classroom and that they have what they need to succeed!

As a K–3 Literacy Interventionist at a Title I campus, I serve more than 70 students each year, many from low-income families and many who have already begun to believe they simply "aren't readers." By the time they come to me, they've often experienced frustration, self-doubt, and a loss of confidence that extends beyond literacy.

I believe all of my students are readers! My job is to help students rediscover confidence in themselves. I also want my students to see themselves reflected in the stories they read while also developing empathy by learning about experiences different from their own. Building a classroom library with diverse, engaging books gives my students the opportunity to feel represented, valued, and connected to the world around them.

My husband lives with a chronic illness (that steals our finances), I still try to invest what I can in my students because I know the difference these resources make! Every tool that helps a child build skills, confidence, and a love of reading.

Thank you so so very much for your consideration and for thinking about educators making a difference in the world through our students!

Kindergarteners are the best! They’re funny, curious, kind, smart, helpful, caring and lots of other good things. Since we do a lot of “hands-on” learning, that means they can also be a little careless with supplies, at times. And with the way funding goes these days, I can’t replace all the broken things, unless I buy them myself. This year’s budget was tight, so I had to remove things like play dough, clipboards to replace broken ones, and some educational games and books. Therefore I have added these things to my list, so the K kids can still have great experiences in class! I didn’t like having to choose between play dough or paint, paper or stickers, etc., so if anyone feels like helping, I have lots of ideas on the list!
Thanks for looking, I appreciate your kindness. ❤️

This is my 21st year at my school, and while I have a decent stockpile of supplies, some are getting used up and others are getting worn out. I’m just hoping to refresh my science classroom to help show my students to joys of biology and zoology!

I teach Agri-Science in Memphis, TN, working with about 140 10th graders each year. While the content of the course, our school garden, and my background working outdoors with crops and nature provide excellent stimulation for students, I’m also trying to teach them organization and systems for self-discipline. We need oodles of binders and dividers this year, along with a few other supplies. Thanks to anyone who can support!

As I prepare for a new school year, a new school, and a new grade level, I’m excited to begin this new chapter and create a classroom where every student feels welcomed, supported, and ready to learn. Many of my students may not have the resources to purchase school supplies, but every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a classroom where that doesn’t stand in the way. Teaching in Title 1 schools is challenging but also very rewarding.
