This spreadsheet features separate tabs for airlines / airports / aircraft makes / aircraft models / navigational aids that could be referenced by the X-Plane ATC system during a flight.
4
The next generation of X-Plane ATC will use a Text to Speech engine to reproduce these phrases. To ensure correct pronunciation, it is sometimes necessary for a 'phonetic' construct to be used in place of the literal name.
5
Each phonetic construct comprises written text surrounded by SSML Tags, which informs the TTS engine how to pronounce that name.

How you can help
11
To help us make X-Plane ATC more realistic and immersive, we are seeking your help:
12
If the default name for a given row differs from what ATC would say in reality, or differs from how ATC would pronounce this in reality, please input corrections into the columns entitled "What ATC will display in text on screen" and "What ATC will speak as audio output"
13
14
What ATC will display in text on screen: Input the common phrase ATC would use in place of the full name (for example British Airways = Speedbird Washington Dulles Intl = Dulles)
15
What ATC will speak as audio output: Input the phoenetic construct for the desired phrase (for example <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="bɔ̃mbaʁdje">Bombardier</phoneme>)
