| Mission Text and Objectives
| The following text is a mock-up of missions, loglines, and objectives that could appear in an open-world looter shooter game or an open-world RPG. The first mission is inspired by the world and writing style of Borderlands 2. The second mission could be set in my science-fantasy universe Tails from the Galaxy, which is featured throughout the rest of my portfolio.

| Text Type | In-Game Text | Additional Notes |
| Mission: | The Howlin' Truth | This mission is primarily a target takedown mission where the player searches for the existence of an enemy character and caps off the mission with a big boss battle. |
| Location: | Mysterious Outcropping (in the Mysterious Forest)
| Given by: | Grimberley | |
| Description: | Grimberley, a misunderstood singer/bandit/maybe also a werewolf, wants you to take out the rival that's stealing their audience. And also maybe acquire some snacks along the way. To the Mysterious Outcropping you go!
| Objectives: | 1. Search for clues (0/5) | The player checks the marked objective areas and find various zombie-related clues, such as corpses with claw/bite marks or a dismembered body arm. NPC or player should comment on 3 out of 5 item pickups. |
| 2. Unearth the coffin | Unearthing the coffin, as requested by Grimberley, will summon hordes of undead enemies.
| 3. Defeat the undead freaks
| 4. Search for "snacks" (0/5) | This is the only objective that briefly acknowledges Grimberley potentially being a werewolf.
| 5. Defeat the undead freaks again
| 6. Unearth the golden sarcophagus | Despite objections from the player character, Grimberley insists that they open the definitely-not-dangerous golden sarcophagus.
| 7. Defeat Zombella | ||
| 7a. (Optional) Defeat Zombella without using a fire weapon | Some optional missions give extra rewards at the end of a mission.
| 8. Bury Zombella again
| 8a. (if failed Optional mission) Bury what's left of Zombella
| 9. Return to Grimberley
| Turn in: | Grimberley | |
| Reward: | Credits, XP, Grim Awakening | Grim Awakening is a Fire Shotgun with the flavor text: Baby, I'm howlin' for you. |
| Completion: | You've laid the dead to rest (again) and helped Grimberley keep their position as number one singer/bandit/undead creature in the Mysterious Forest.

| Mission: | That Little Something-Something | This mission is primarily the dreaded escort mission where the player has to protect an NPC. Should be paired with lots of fun, comedic dialogue to soften the escort quest frustration and give the player insight into this NPC. |
| Location: | Soro, Voupekula
| Given by: | Soro Bounty Board
| Description: | A sweet but airheaded witch scientist needs your help harvesting local fruit and herbs for her newest brew. Can you keep her safe from her greatest threat—herself? | Mission details are given by a recorded message. The player then travels to the NPC's location (which is potentially unexplored until this point) for more information. |
| Objectives: | 1. Meet the Green Witch | Bee is a fun, quirky NPC with bubbly dialogue. She should be cute to some players and annoying as hell to others. |
| 2. Search for herbs | This quest marker moves the player to a potentially unexplored cave area.
| 3. Ransack the mercenary camp | The player learns that these mercenaries are not mercenaries but traveling merchants.
| 4. Protect Bee from the "mercenaries" | Meanwhile, Bee ransacks them anyway. She should have a lot of quippy lines during this sequence.
| 5. Search for exotic fruit | As soon as you finish picking the last fruit, a pack of hungry mutant wolves will appear to steal your bounty.
| 6. Stop the mutant wolves!
| 6a. (Optional) Kill the wolves within 30 seconds
| 7. Search for Bee's special stuff | This quest marker moves the player to a potentially unexplored cliffside area.
| 8. Protect Bee from the real mercenaries | These guys are actually mercenaries.
| 9. Collect Bee's special stuff | This should be a drop from one of the mercenary enemies.
| 10. Follow Bee back to the bar
| 11. Help Bee prepare her next brew
| 11a. Chop the herbs and drop them in her pot
| 11b. Slice the fruit and drop them in her pot
| 11c. Add the special stuff to her brownies
| 11d. (Optional) Eat one of the brownies | Bee's brownies are, as she warns, filled with special stuff. If the player chooses to eat one of her brownies, their screen should be filled with a ton of different special effects.
| 11e. Give everything one last mix!
| 12. Hand the concoction to Bee | She'll finish all her witchy stuff and reveal to you that she was trying to create a beautiful new drink to use in the intergalactic barista championship.
| Turn in: | Bee the Green Witch
| Reward: | Credits, XP, Sickly Sweet | Sickly Sweet is a high HP shield that looks like a brownie and has the flavor text: Just don't eat it, okay? |
| Completion: | With your help, Bee goes on to win the intergalactic barista championship! Probably. You might have hallucinated this whole thing, really.
