Kate is the founder of Heartland Intimacy Design & Training, an intimacy training company which offers academic, accessible, and affordable intimacy training entirely online. She has taught several workshops on staging intimacy, as well as designing intimacy for several productions. Her specific area of expertise is staging sexual trauma and assault and how to assist actors in leaving these moments behind in the theatre. Recently, Kate designed the intimacy for the world premiere production of Gertrude and Claudius by Mark St. Germain at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater.

Kate is currently the Assistant Professor of Movement and Stage Combat at the University of Oklahoma. She completed her Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Missouri in 2019. Kate has two research agendas: theatrical violence and theatrical intimacy. Her dissertation, "Killing 'Woman': Gender and Violence in Selected Works by Sheila Callaghan and Marisa Wegrzyn," examined how performances of violence committed by the characters within Callaghan's and Wegrzyn's works challenge heteronormative notions of gender.

Kate is an Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) with certifications in unarmed combat, rapier & dagger, quarterstaff, single sword, broadsword, broadsword and shield, knife, and theatrical firearms safety. She is also a member of the Association of Movement Theatre Educators (ATME), Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE).

Kate is also a director, primarily directing new student-written work, play reading festivals, and regional semi-professional theatre. She is an Equity Membership Candidate (EMC) with the Actors Equity Association (AEA).

From Tati’s website, as she says it better than I could ever: My name is Tatiana Isabel Gil. I am an Albuquerque based Queer Latinx writer, dramaturg, and actor with a passion for new work development, art that moves people to take action, and decolonization as a form of healing and empowerment. Born in Chicago, IL to immigrant parents from Colombia and Panama, I am a proud first generation artist mainly just looking to fulfill all my dreams in changing the world through art activism but also to provide my mother with a beautiful beach house on the shores of Taboga when she is a viejita.

With stars in my eyes, I made my way to the Big Apple and studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater where I fell in love with acting. Since then it is in fact the thing that brings me the most joy in this world. Then, after 3 years of rigorous training, I graduated from Boston University School of Theater with a BFA in Theatre Arts where I fell in love and curiosity with playwriting and dramaturgy. So far, some of my favorite credits include working as a dramaturg for world premiere plays Hype Man, and Leftovers with Company One Theater (Boston, MA), and playing Kit in Off the Grid’s production of Our Dear Dead Druglord. Additionally, as the director of Theater Performance, Committee member, and playwright for the Yo Soy Lola movement, I created 3 one act plays exploring intersectional identities within the Latinx experience. With my mission set on creating an anti-racist theater industry, I am avidly working on what that looks like for myself in practice, and how to manifest that for and with my QTPOC artist community.

Heidi has worked silently with very little recognition but diligently on her art for her entire life. I first met her as a student where I taught in Jefferson County.

Maddi founded the Denver Rock Orchestra in 2022 and it has since grown into a full blown 50+ piece orchestra that brings unique orchestral music to Denver. She made it a non-profit and the goal is to make orchestral music accessible for folks throughout the metro area.
