Follow-up is Moodle (PolyLearn) course with links to OER search tools, copyright info, videos, and an assignment for selecting OER resources to be turned in for a $250 stipend. Implementation of OER in Fall doubles the stipend to $500.AL$ Team: Luanne Fose, John Lee, David Watts, and Amy Wiley (AB 798)Overview for faculty on AL$, generate enthusiasm, and get them started on an OER search for implementation in their courses.

Cal Poly - SLOApril 10, 2018; April 25, 2018; and May 1, 2018Luanne Fose3 "Slice of Inspiration" Workshops at lunchtime.AL$ Team: Luanne Fose, John Lee, David Watts, and Amy Wiley (AB 798)Cal Poly faculty will share their experiences in implementing AL$ or AB 798 with others as pizza, salad, and drinks are served at noontime. Slice of Inspiration #1 will consist of one faculty member who implemented OER in her math course as well as an English professor who created OER materials as part of the AB 798 grant; Slice of Inspiration #2 will consist of the English faculty of English 149 who are considering OER implementation and what their beginning process is as a group; Slice of Inspiration #3 will consist of chemistry faculty reporting on their experience over the past 2 years of creating and/or implementing OER text and resources for multiple sections of 100-level chemistry through the curriculum of the department. Suggestions will be provided of how other departments can do the same. These 3 workshops will also serve as our "recognition" event since we are using the funds that we would normally use for a recognition event to provide food and drinks at these 3 lunchtime workshops.
