AJennifer Greb1st year MediaLabjennifer.greb@aalto.fixxresearcher, graphic designer and digital artistWants to create: interactive installation that explores human interaction with nature and/or natural species.

How can we visualize the roles of mastery between humans and our environment? How can we visualize "hyper-objects", such as mass extinction, that are so massively distributed in time and space? How can we utilize new media production to create empathy for our ecosystem?

(pure data)
Interaction design, games and interactive mediaMy primary interest is in interactive installations that create an experiential narrative space (non-linear narrative). I prefer to do this by mixing physical and digital, for example with tangible, physical objects as the interaction modality. How can we make people question their sense of superiority over nature? How can we make people stop assigning a morality and human logic to nature's behavior? How do geo-politics / national borders / nationalism and nature preservation clash, and how can we find a better way?
I'm currently learning processing. I also know the basics of doing generative sound with pure data. I can also do simple electronics and interactive textiles.

AEerika Jalasaho1st year MediaLabeerika.jalasaho@aalto.fixfreelancer artist, also working in galleries, marketing, communication and art & project management/culture production I have questioned relationship between technology and nature (is digitality natural? If all man-made is natural, is digitality nature?) and humans' illusion of power in my works and would like to take it further. Also I am highly interested in explore and work with human relationship to animals and animal behavior. Especially humans' relationship to dogs finds my interestIn What is Dark Ecology? Morton claims that the 3rd axiom of agricultural logical structure is that "Human existing is always better than any quality of existing." He gave the axiom "Existing is always better than any quality of existing." an anthropocentric form by saying that we value human life higher than any other life form. I find this axiom very interesting and would like to question the human idea of hierarchy & superiority, especially in relationship to animals
