|The trail to Morte Lake passes streams & ponds leading a popular swimming lake. Around the lake there are climbs to viewpoints. Trails connect to the Chinese Mountains which have rewarding panoramic views after just a short climb.|

|Area/ Trail Length||Morte Lake Trail= 6 km circuit, moderate, 3-4 hrs return. Chinese Mountains=250 m elevation gain, moderate with steep sections, 2-4 hrs. return.|

|Main Access||From Vancouver Island, Quadra Island is reached by ferry from Campbell River. Once on Quadra Island, follow West Road to Heriot Bay, then Hyacinthe Bay Road north from Heriot Bay to Walcan Road. Turn left, parking area is 750 m on the right.|
|Secondary Accesses||A trail directly to the Chinese Mountains starts from Hyacinthe Bay Road, 580 m from the junction with Walcan Road.|
