Our Voyageur Crêpe Day will be held on Wednesday, January 31st. This fantastic Fete D'hiver celebration depends entirely on your volunteer contributions.
Every year, volunteers are needed to make crêpes, bring syrup, bring berries, and to help set up, serve, and of course, clean up.
Last year we served over 2000 crepes!!! That's means we need a lot of help to make this day happen!
Again this year we are using the online sign-up process. We will also be again asking all children to
bring their own non-disposable plate, fork, knife, and cloth napkin in a carry bag to the event - they will be coming home dirty. Children are asked to still bring a regular lunch.
If you are coming to help on the day of the event, please remember to sign in and out at the office so that we know who is on hand that day.
There is no need to sign in if you are just dropping items off.

|If your child has food allergies, please remember to personally prepare special crêpes for your individual child. Please mark your special crêpes with your child's name and division and the word "Allergy" clearly labeled on them. Please personally bring them to the kitchen by 8:45am.|

Crêpes Recipe Voyageur and Instructions
Crepes differ from pancakes in that they are thin and delicate and easily rolled around any filling.
They are no harder to make than pancakes freeze superbly, and can be prepared ahead, defrosting and re-heatin in minutes. The easiest way of cooking crepes is in a
teflon-coated (T-Fal) type non-stick crepe or omelet pan or any other non-stick frying pan.
The recipe below is the one recommended for the crepe batter. Please mulitply by 4 to make the requested amount of 40
Yield: 10 large crepes
1 1/2 cups of flour (white only)
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
Easy Mixer or Whisk Method:
In a medium mixing bowl combine eggs and salt.
Gradually add flour, alternating with milk, beating with an electric mixer or whisk until smooth. Beat in melted butter.
Combine ingredients in a blender jar, blending for about 1 minute.
Scrape down sides of bowl with a rubber spatuala and blnd for antoher 15 seconds or until smooth.
Cover and set aside for at least an hour but not more than 6 hours at room temperature for best results. Crepe batter can be held overnight in the refridgerator. If
