24
GOALS:Safety: First, last, most important.Pedestrian and Driver Safety come first and is our highest priority. It is especially critical given our drop off situation. Note that RDCS Dads are in charge of traffic flow and drop off movement, drivers and pedestrians are not in charge, and that safety comes first through your leadership, before the two points below.
25
Efficiency: Prompt traffic flow at drop off.If a parent takes too long in line just respectfully ask them to park next time in the parking lot, so they can have that important time with their children but not do so in the drop off lane.
26
Community: A pleasant drop off experience for Regents families. For most, this is their first contact in the morning. A gracious demeanor, welcoming manner, a friendly wave and pleasant smile is a blessing for all. And we do it with grace and mercy, while still managing all vehicular and pedestrian movement during drop-off.
27
28
REQUIREMENTS:Be punctualTake responsibility, be punctual, arrive at the curb by 7:20 am, plan to depart around 8:15 am. WITH REASONABLE EXCEPTIONS, YOU MAY NOT SERVE ON RDCS IF YOU CANNOT FOLLOW THIS REQUIREMENT.
29
Replace yourselfIf you cannot show up on your day, it is your responsibility to replace yourself well ahead of time with a Regents Dad - you can use the list from the ALTERNATE TEAM on this google site. WITH REASONABLE EXCEPTIONS, YOU MAY NOT SERVE ON RDCS IF YOU CANNOT FOLLOW THIS REQUIREMENT.
30
Be intentionalThis service ministry is about safety, efficiency, community and fellowship - in that order. It is not about visiting with your friends. Be intentional. Get your job done. DO NOT ALLOW DISTRACTIONS - NO COFFEE, NO VISITING, NO KIDDING. Limit visiting to a minimum "good morning, let me call you later" while serving. Explain quickly to your friends you will have to visit another time, not during RDCS time. WITH REASONABLE EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT SERVE ON RDCS IF YOU CANNOT FOLLOW THIS REQUIREMENT.
31
Wear the orange vestsDrivers and pedestrians look to you for assistance and clear direction. They need to be able to easily recognize you. NO EXCEPTIONS.
32
Team Leaders LEAD
Team Members FOLLOW
All Team members must follow the Team Leader's direction and respect his authority. NO EXCEPTIONS.
