Charge

The UAS Budget Advisory Commitee (BAC) shall provide input to the Chancellor and members of the Executive Cabinet on matters pertaining to guiding principles, policies, and resources which impact students, employees and/or community members UAS experience. BAC will ensure fulfillment of the UAS strategic plan by reviewing and providing input on policy and resource decisions that are submitted to Executive Cabinet. BAC's charges and expectations includes the following:

• Advise UAS leadership about budget principles, priorities, and allocation criteria that guide annual resource allocation decisions as well as allocation and utilization of facilities and technology-related resources;

• Advisory to the NWCCU Accreditation Committee;

• Provide input for the continuous improvement and refinement of UAS' planning and budgeting processes including budgeting principles and methodology;

• Review and present input to UAS leadership about annual operating and capital budget requests;
29
• Promote meaningful participation by appropriate university governance groups in the UAS strategic planning and budgeting process;
30
• Promote transparency and accountability in our planning and budget processes, and assist with communication about those processes and outcomes to the broader university community.
