Welcome to the ULTexas Trails Database!
This is a community contributed list, so please add any trails you have hiked or even heard about that you think your fellow UL.
Tips on contributing:
- Check the notes in the headers for context on using that field.
- If you want to add an alternate route to a trail that is already included, add a new row and select one of the 'Alternate' Route Types.
- You're welcome to update the 'Current Condition' and link to any 'Trip Reports' for other folks to use. Please include the date in your condition report.

Sorting and filtering in Google Sheets is universal, so please remove the filter after using it.

Parts of the trail are beyond ankle deep for hundreds of feet at a time. Parts can be extremely overgrown since the trail is infrequently used, but it is better as of Dec 2019 UPDATE Hiked in March 2022. A little squirrelly around little lake creek otherwise pretty well cut back, spectacularly blazed and yes, muddy. http://lonestartrail.org/maps/LSHT_GrandLoop.pdf

West/Big BendOnsite PermitCheck in at the Barton Warnock Visitor Center. Most popular route is counter-clockwise. Parking available at two trailheads, with a roadwalk between them to close the "loop". From Lajitas – Head west on 170 for around 21 miles. You will see the “East Rancheria” trailhead sign on your right. Park across the street and begin your adventure. If you have 2 vehicles, leave 1 of them 3 miles down the road at the West Rancheria sign.
