Foldestine Paye is a technologist, researcher and a cybersecurity expert, passionate about open source solutions, Internet Policy, online safety and public interest technology. He is currently the software engineer for the West Africa Examination Council and also worked as cybersecurity analyst of the Chief Information Office bureau(Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Liberia) which is responsible to coordinate and ensure the implementation of the e-government components of the adapted ICT policy across government, manage the second level domain (.gov.lr), government network, set standards for ICT within government, develop legal and institutional frameworks, database utilities and automated reporting systems, ensure and evaluate compliance, and capacity building for employees within the Ministries Agency and Commissions (MAC). Foldestine Paye has worked on an Internet measurements project focusing on broadband performance, Internet peering and users behavior in Africa. Prior to this, he led the systems team at BlueCrest University as the Head of Systems, and was a Web & eLearning Administrator before that. He is a member of IEEE and Internet Society Liberia Chapter. He is President emeritus of Liberia Information Technology Student Union (LITSU) and his specialization is cyber security. Moreover, Foldestine is the Current coordinator for YouthIGF-Liberia Chapter. He believe in the culture of collaboration and I trust his ability concerning the issue of cybersecurity because he is presently part and parcel of the Technical Team that is creating the national cyber security policy and strategy of Liberia. He is humble with great understanding concerning cyber security and he also understand how Liberia is vulnerable in the Cyber Space More over he is an open minded person that’s always ready to share the story of how Liberia is vulnerable in the Cyber Space. Moreover, he is an author of a book called “Be A Good Digital Citizen” which is use for cybersecurity awareness in the republic of Liberia
Finally, Foldestine holds a BSc in Cyber Security at BlueCrest University. Moreover, he led the Tech innovation team in Liberia to develop Covid-19 web application to provide real time information about covid-19 in Liberia to fight covid-19 fake news and rumors. Foldestine also lead the team a team to develop a contact tracing application to response to covid-19 in Liberia.
