***2023 Flood Relief for Vermont Farmers and Food Businesses***
Hello! Vermont sustained so much damage and loss due to the floods this July. There are many different organizations funding relief efforts, as well as individual campaigns for farms and food businesses that are circulating around. It can feel overwhelming to sort those all out, and there is a lot of urgent need.
The intention of this spreadsheet is to catalog efforts to support farms and food businesses in one place. A few notes:
(Instructions for how to use: If you know of a campaign that is for a farm or food system business or a resource that supports them, please add it to the appropriate tab.
Tab 1) Individual/direct campaigns for VT farmers and food businesses
Tab 2) Individual/direct campaigns for other states (NH/MA)
Tab 3) Relief funds and organization
Tab 4) Resources
This is an open document so that anyone can add to it. That way, we won’t miss anyone. Please add to this in good faith, only with campaigns you know are legitimate for farms and food businesses. The Center for an Agricultural Economy will be monitoring this list for relevance and good intentions.
We know that many, many individuals and small businesses were impacted by the flood. However, we are limiting this document to only Farmers and Food system businesses. Thank you for understanding.
If you have questions or concerns about something on this document, please contact Lylee@hardwickagriculture.org
