SamplesBandcamp Another good site for free samples is Bandcamp. Obviously not everything is free, but I have found a lot of good free stuff by sifting through the various pages. Don't forget to try and search for other tagged words like "drum loops" or "synth samples". Who knows what you might find! (SnickleFritzMcJame)https://bandcamp.com/tag/sample-pack

SamplesConverse Rubber Tracks Sample LibraryConverse (yes, the shoe brand) decided to set up a massive online resource for producers, offerring thousands of professionally recorded samples for free. There's no real catch to it, it will remind you every now and then that you can tweet with a hastag to spread the word but it's hardly annoying, and pretty fair considering what is on offer. One downside is you cannot bulk download entire packs, you need to click the download button for each sample. I assume this is a bandwidth thing. (kparagraphic)https://www.conversesamplelibrary.com/

SamplesMGF Audio BlogThis is my own blog where I post sample packs I've made. Usually out of my own hardware synths, packs are often huge and wildly unlabelled but diverse enough that most people would be able to find bits that suit their craft (kparagraphic)http://mgfaudio.tumblr.com/

VST Effect PluginAirwindows PluginsWhat used to be paid for Mac only plugins are currently in the process of being converted to Windows VST, and each one that is converted is being offered for free! Every effect he makes is like a secret weapon that is unique in some way. I use the plugins Slew, Pressure, and Channel on almost every track. You can back the developer on Patreon if you end up loving these plugins as much as I do. (SnickleFritzMcJame)http://www.airwindows.com/
56
VST Effect PluginAudio Damage Rough RiderA completely over-the-top Compressor that just beats things to shit and has a very pumpy in-your-face sound taht is great for drums. (SnickleFritzMcJame)https://www.audiodamage.com/downloads/product.php?pid=ADF002
57
VST Effect PluginBlue Cat's Triple EQhttp://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_TripleEQ/
58
VST Effect PluginEngineer's FilterA very precise and technical filter / EQ tool that can handle incredibly steep cutoff slopes and other filter shapes that are very difficult to achieve on a standard EQ. (kparagraphic)https://www.kvraudio.com/product/engineersfilter_by_rs_met
59
VST Effect PluginIzotope Vinyl Vinyl sim. Might as well get this, it's not too bad. (SnickleFritzMcJame)https://www.izotope.com/en/products/create-and-design/vinyl.html
60
VST Effect PluginMinimal Systems PluginsI recently foundout about these mixing/mastering plugins that can add lots of character to your music. They are currently on-sale cheap as chips m8. They got some free stuff too. I really love the Pro Compressor, it's over-the-top like Rough Rider but much more pleasing to the ear. MixMaster Buss Compressor is great for throwing on the Master to get a more analog type tone. (SnickleFritzMcJame)http://www.minimalsystem.com/
61
VST Effect PluginSweet Girl Blue VerbThis VST certainly fits the A E S T H E T I C. I'm not really sure what it does and it makes anything you run thru it sound worse. Might be good for something. (SnickleFritzMcJame)http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=a82b92db59d1716a41446e35a78dc4633e5336adb34138bfa7b01fe6e4055ae3

VST Effect PluginTAL Chorus, TAL Flange, TAL PhaserTAL are IMO the best source for free plugins that both look and sound great. They have a great range of products that work on both Windows and Mac. (kparagraphic)https://tal-software.com/products/tal-effects
63
VST Effect PluginTAL-USE + TAL-Filter2USE stands for Ultra Simple EQ, which as the name implies is a very basic 3 band EQ, but sometimes that's all you'll need. TAL-Filter is more useful as a standard filter, but is unique in that the cutoff frequency is always being modulated according to the breakpoint editor on the panel. This makes it great for cyclic filter effects. (kparagraphic)https://tal-software.com/products/tal-effects
64
VST Effect PluginTape Delay by E-phonicA simple delay that sounds like an analog echo pedal or tape delay. (SnickleFritzMcJame)http://www.e-phonic.com/plugins/tapedelay.php
65
VST Effect PluginXfer OTTA Multiband Compressor that is very extreme and has a squashed and over excited sound. You probably wont get this to sound very good if you don't know exactly what you are doing, but it is a unique effect that can bring out every little detail of your music to the forfront. If you use Ableton Live then you can find this effect as a preset under the stock Multiband Compressor, this is what the plugin is based on. Say goodbye to your dynamic range! VSTi Synth PluginC700SNES sound emulator VST. SNES sound emulation. The Super Nintendo used a lofi sampler to make sound and music, and it had a very unique tone. It's actually a "chiptune" synth but the sound of the SNES has uses in other forms of music as well. After all, composers were sampling popular synths at the time like the DX7 or the M1 to create SNES music. Just download SPC files of your favorite SNES OSTs from snesmusic.org. Drag and drop them into this VST and you'll have all the sounds at your disposal. May I suggest.. http://snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?profile=set&selected=783. You can also drag and drop your own .wav samples into it, or generate your own waveforms within the synth. (SnickleFritzMcJame)http://picopicose.com/software.html
67
VSTi Synth PluginCharlatanGreat basic subtractive synth, sounds as nice as it looks. Solid choice for leads and bass that cut through the mix. (kparagraphic)http://www.blaukraut.info/
68
VSTi Synth PluginDexedDexed is an emulation of the Yamaha DX7, which was an incredibly popular and revolutionary synthesiser in the 1980s. Obviously this makes it perfect for vaporwave production. (kparagraphic)https://asb2m10.github.io/dexed/
69
VSTi Synth PluginEMU ProteusVX Official VSTi emulation of the classic 90's EMU Proteus synth (SnickleFritzMcJame)http://www.creative.com/emu/proteusvx/
70
VSTi Synth PluginOXELike dexed but more flexible in certain areas. Somewhat similar to FM8 in layout and concept. (kparagraphic)http://www.oxesoft.com/
71
VSTi Synth PluginPG8XPG-8X is a software recreation of a Roland JX-8P analogue synth from the late 1980's. IMO it sounds better than virtually any other software synthesiser, and is somewhat CPU heavy, but absolutely perfect for rich and lush analogue type sounds similar to Vangelis or John Carpenter. (kparagraphic)https://sites.google.com/site/mlvst0/
72
VSTi Synth PluginProphanityFree Prophet 5 VST emulation.http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=778

VSTi Synth PluginSforzandoHave you ever listened to a Smooth Jazz General MIDI file? It's a beautiful thing.. If you have, then chances are the MIDI file you heard was creating sound using something like a soundfont. A soundfont (.sf2, .sfz, .dls) is a file that contains many different instruments. A MIDI file (.mid) can't actually produce sound, it only contains note data, and it needs a separate sound source to actually work. This is where the soundfont comes in. The MIDI file will tell the soundfont which notes to play, and which instruments will play said notes. Soundfonts turn your crappy old computer into a cheesy 90's music factory! Sforzando allows you to load soundfonts into your DAW and compose goofy General MIDI-esque tunes. There's tons of soundfonts out there, all mostly free. Listen to PrismCorp Virtual Enterprises to get an idea of what you could do with Sforzando. Plogue has other products, some that are free and some that aren't, that could be good for broporwave. (SnickleFritzMcJame)https://www.plogue.com/products/sforzando/
74
VSTi Synth PluginSQL8Ensoniq SQ80 emulator VST. Another recreation of some 80's synth/ROMpler thingy idk sounds cool. (SnickleFritzMcJame)http://www.buchty.net/ensoniq/
75
VSTi Synth PluginSynth1Very popular recreation of a Nord Lead by Japanese developer Ichiro Toda. As it has existed for a long time, there are thousands of patches available, and you can grab them all here! (kparagraphic)https://www.kvraudio.com/product/synth1-by-ichiro-toda
76
VSTi Synth PluginTAL-NoisemakerA very flexible subtractive synth with a decent amount of modulation options and effects. (kparagraphic)https://tal-software.com/products/tal-noisemaker
77
VSTi Synth PluginVOPMMega Drive/Genesis Sound emulation. For all the Sega kids out there. This console made sound using an FM synth that was similar to the DX7, but it was cheaper and had less sound operators so it had a somewhat different sound. Download .opm files of almost every Mega Drive game here and eat chilidogs with Sanic (SnickleFritzMcJame)https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=277864
