The core business of Wigner Datatcenter Unit is based on three pillars: 1) It hosts, operates and maintains the Tier-0 cloud infrastructure of CERN (OpenStack-based cloud with approx. 20000 CPU cores and 5.5 Petabytes storage capacity), 2) operates the cloud infrastructure of the Hungarian Government, and 3) offers cloud services called MTA Cloud on a commercial basis for third parties (e.g. other institutes, SMEs, etc.). The commercial FIWARE node operated by Wigner Research Centre for Physics is built on our MTA Cloud infrastructure with dedicated capacities that can be scaled up in long term, according to the needs of end users.
