Miniclass General Notes
20
====>I appreciate your cooperation so far in working with the spreadsheet and staying on top of your registrations. Your communication has made things go pretty smoothly so far. WTG! If you still have class issues, please see me ASAP.
21
22
====>Schedule timing. 8am (breakfast at 7:00/BoTG 7:40), 10:30, and 1:20. We take attendance like any other school day.
23
24
====>Pay attention to the location for your class including leave times, vehicles, and drivers which will be added soon if they are not currently listed. Those can all be found on the Session tabs below.
25
26
====>CHAPEL: It seems to make the most sense that, if you are on campus during chapel time, go to the room you would normally be in for chapel on that day. The one exception will be Friday. Everyone going skating should attend chapel in the gym on Friday, ready to leave immediately after chapel for Hobbs which is working on a first come, first served basis. JUNIORS SHOULD GO TO THE GYM FOR CHAPEL THURSDAY AND FRIDAY SINCE YOUR NORMAL ROOM IS FULL OF WALLS.
27
28
====>Stay in your class until the scheduled end. Some sessions will be released a bit early for lunch during Sessions 2, 5, and 8. Mel doesn't see a real need to stagger the release of classes but we will do a bit. Prof. Roehl will let you know if your session can leave early.
29
30
====>COVID and all associated guidelines (masks and distancing) are still in place during miniclasses and are especially important with visitors on campus. All visitors are self assessing before coming on campus but our normal awareness of protocols must be followed and enforced. Please cooperate. Thank you! STUDENTS: We're asking you to sanitize your area as you leave your sessions. THANK YOU!
31
32
====>
Reminder that the presenters are taking off from busy schedules to share something they enjoy with you. Thank them for their efforts!
33
34
====>
The schedule of sessions will not be posted in hard copy this year but can be found online on Gradelink and in your Google Drive shared with me. Consult it often as well as these notes for changes.
35
36
====>
PLEASE BE PROMPT FOR YOUR CLASS SO THE PRESENTERS CAN BEGIN AND COMPLETE THEIR CLASSES ON SCHEDULE. THANK YOU!
37
38
====>
If you need to take the bus home after school, you should let the presenter know and then leave at the normal time.
39
40
====>Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights are "off-campus" free nights. That means 9:50 in the dorm. Plans are to show three movies from a series. Popcorn will be provided! Bring your own drink.
41
42
====>
Reminder: Wed-Fri are closed campus school days meaning you may not leave campus during the lunch period unless you have permissions in place.
43
44
====>
Talk to your parents about the classes you are taking. Be sure they are good with them and have no reservations, especially this year with COVID concerns.
45
46
====>
Transportation: Check the blanket permissions sheet to be sure you can ride with the driver to your miniclass session. If you are not sure, check with the office or the Dean. If there is a conflict, check with your parents for permission.
47
48
====>Please use the envelopes placed in your lockers to pay the fees you owe for your miniclasses. Without these fees we are not able to conduct Miniclasses. Don't wait; please take care of this ASAP but absolutely no later than Friday morning. Thanks for your cooperation.
