3 | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> | Hello! Welcome to the official Metallurgent Assembly Sheet. Here you will find all of the tools you need to create your very own Anvil for playing games of Metallurgent. This sheet is regularly maintained as of February 2025, and will likely change as the rules for Metallurgent crystalise. Check back every so often to ensure your Anvil is up to date. A few things to note before you get started: To modify this sheet you will need to make a copy. You can do this by clicking File in the top left of your screen and selecting Make a Copy from the dropdown list. While building your Anvil, DO NOT erase any columns, rows, or cells. Doing so may break the hidden mathematics and result in a useless sheet. If you accidentally modify a math cell, press Escape to revert the change. Alternatively, CRTL+Z can also help. If worse comes to worst, simply grab a fresh copy. See the links on the right to access the Beta Rulebook and Discord. With that said, follow the instructions below to get started! | BETA RULES

14 | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> | First and foremost: this sheet has some quirks to it! Because everything is written in Excel formulae, some things get a little weird. Keep the following quirks in mind when building your Anvil: 1) Local Control Arrays must be placed in Gear slot 1 2) Jammers must be placed in Gear slot 2 or 3 3) Payloads you wish to use must be copied from the weapon and added to the PAYLOADS region at the bottom of the Assembly 2.0 Tab (ctrl+c, shift+ctrl+v works best!) 4) Ammunition and starting values for all resources (AP, EN, Fuel, etc) must be manually entered on the Readout 2.0 Tab 5) Weapon Arms are split into the actual Arm and their Integrated Weapon. Make sure that if you choose a Weapon Arm you also attach its correct Integrated Weapon! 6) The SYSTEM STATUS region at the botom of the Assembly 2.0 Tab will not flag misallocated Weapon Arms, Integrated Weapons, or Gear mounted to Weapon Arms, so double check your build even if the light is green! 7) Remember to set your chosen Gear to the "Active" status on the Readout 2.0 Tab!

16 | NOTE | |||||||||||||||||||
17 | There's a lot to take in, but don't worry, it's not as difficult as it looks. Every single stat has a Note attached to it, which you can view by hovering your cursor over that stat's name. If on mobile, you simply long press the name and select [View Note].

22 | NOTE | |||||||||||||||||||
23 | Values in red are worse than what you currently have equipped, and values in blue are better. Bold values are equivalent.

25 | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> | On this sheet, Overview Tabs are purple, Component Tabs are blue, Subcomponent Tabs are yellow, Gear tabs are red, and Glossary Tabs are green. On the far right you can see the Patch Notes tab, in pink. When playing a game of Metallurgent, you will usually only have to reference the Readout 2.0 Tab, the EWAR Tab (if you have a LCA or Jammer), and occasionally the Payloads, Functions, and Chipsets Tabs. Most of the Component, Subcomponent, and Gear tabs may be sorted via filter, using the striated arrow in row 2. Sorting these tabs shouldn't break anything, but be aware that doing so may also change how the Assembly sheet organises its dropdowns. If something seems out of place, make a note of it and request it to be fixed. Be sure to reference the Stock Builds and Stock Build Notes Tabs when constructing an Anvil for the first time to get an idea as to how generally-useful Anvils go together. Google Sheets doesn't support save states or macros, so unfortunately Stock Builds must be remade from scratch each time, but they're there for your benefit nonetheless.
26 | NOTE | |||||||||||||||||||
27 | Equipment set to "Active" in the Readout Tab will automatically factor in Drain, Offset, and more, so don't neglect to set it!

30 | NOTE | |||||||||||||||||||
31 | The stats and rules found on this sheet always take priority over what is described in the METALLURGENT BETA RULESET. This is because players and Coordinators will be reading this sheet for the majority of their games, and as such there will be less confusion if the sheet is used.

36 | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> | Some important construction aspects to remember: Anvils may not deploy if their Load exceeds their maximum Load Tolerance. Anvils may not deploy if their EN Output is less than 0, and generally, Anvils may have trouble competing if they deploy with less than about 7 EN Output. Anvils may not carry more than 2 Primary weapons, 2 Secondary weapons, 2 Tertiary weapons, or 6 pieces of equipment. Anvils may not carry more Gear than they have Hardpoints, and each piece of Gear must be mounted to a Hardpoint. Anvils may not carry more than 2 equipment with the same Type, even if the equipment is named differently (two Radiators is fine, but three is an illegal build). Anvils must have 1 of each of the following: Core, Mobility Base, Left Arm, Right Arm, Generator, Electronics, and Fire Control System.

43 | >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> | With these stipulations in mind, you're ready to start. Check the Components Tabs to browse the various Components available to you. Each Component is unique and offers different capabilities. Once you settle on a Component you like, switch back to the Assembly Tab and select that Component from the relevant dropdown list, under the COMPONENTS region. Do the same for your Gear. Pick out whichever weapon or equipment you like, then tab back to the Assembly Tab and select it from the dropdowns in the GEAR region. Don't be afraid to experiment! After all, this is the game where you go "hmm."
