1	Initiative #1: Sustainability in Research Webinar
2	The ORT is hosting a webinar and interactive session on April 29 from 2-3 pm to discuss how we can all reduce waste and perform our research in more a more sustainable way. We have confirmed two speakers who will discuss research in this area and ways we can actively reduce our carbon footprint in research.

4	We are seeking 2-3 volunteers who are passionate about sustainability and are interested in helping to facilitate audience engagement at the event. This can include creating live lists of "actionable" solutions, posing interactive questions to the audience, and/or writing a blog post summarizing the key points. The ORT will provide lots of guidance and support. Reach out to Amanda Veri if you have any questions!

12	Initiative #2: Learning Sessions for UHN Summer Students
13	The ORT is planning a series of learning sessions for all of the summer students at UHN, spanning from May - August. Many of these summer students will be invited to seminar series on topics in thier particular field. To add to this, the ORT is planning learning sessions on more general research and career development topics that apply to all summer students. This includes sessions on Networking, LinkedIn, presenting research and more.

15	We are seeking trainees who would be interested in leading or helping to organize a learning session for the summer students. We are open to all suggestions on topics, which could include practical research skills like how to read research papers, a begginers lesson in R, graph pad, citation managers, etc., or career development topics such as how to get the most out of grad school, a discussion of different career options for scientists, etc. The ORT will provide lots of guidance and support. 29	Initiative #3: Learning Sessions for high school students - UHN Summer Seminar Series

31	The ORT is planning our second UHN Summer Seminar Series, on August 3-5 from 1- 4 pm. This will be a three day virtual event provide an opportunity for high school students from all backgrounds to learn about the amazing research happening at UHN and to explore careers in healthcare. Each of the three days will contain 1 hour of short talks from trainees on their research, 1 hour of interactive activities (ie. tours of KITE's labs), and 1 hour of panels to explore careers in health care (research, medicine, nurses, PTs, OTs, etc)
