HOW TO USE THIS SPREADSHEETThis is where the primary information you need to plan your zine should live. Why a spreadsheet? Because it makes it easy to add and subtract information as needed, and sort it in ways that will help you get multiple views of everything going into your zine.

TimelineUse this tab to plan out when things (e.g., application period, check-ins, release) should happen. The best way to approach this is to start by planning backward: Ask yourself when you want to release your zine and then figure out the rest from there. It usually takes around 6 to 7 months to produce a good zine.

AccountsUse this tab to keep track of social media, store, email, and other accounts related to your zine.

Zine specificationsUse this tab to have easy access to the specifications for final submissions to your zine (bleed, margins, etc.)

ContributorsUse this tab to store information about and keep track of communications with your contributors. This is especially important if there are multiple mods on a zine—you don't want to contact the same person twice!

Zine contentUse this tab to lay out final content for your zine. This will help you figure out how many pages your final zine will be and the order in which you want content to appear in the final product, which will make things easier when you go to lay it out. It will also help you aviod confusion over which files to use when laying out the final zine. This tab is already populated with a few pieces of frontmatter you might want to include in your zine: A table of contents, acknowledgements, and contributor bios.
