Autumn 1:
Objectives
To increase student familiarity with key safeguarding and behavioral systems, increase awareness of the Denbigh Values and other key topics. Safeguarding aims autumn 1:

To understand key safeguarding issues. To highlight key changes to the safeguarding team and the developments in staying safe in the online world.
Online safety and character

Aim:
To increase students’ knowledge of the risks presented in the online world and equip students with the skills and confidence needed to effectively and safely respond to these challenges.

They will do this by:
Increase knowledge and behaviours that underpin successful and safe online behaviours.
Explicitly teaching harms and risk that students are likely to face in the online world.
Equip students with the skills to stay safe online.
Reading aims autumn 1:
The focus of our reading form time lessons in the first half term is to introduce our students to their pastoral reading book, sweet pizza, to expand our students vocabulary through the teaching new vocabulary, to hear our teachers reading aloud and to discuss key components of the reading books.
Citizenship aims autumn 1:
Objective: To understand the British values and the precious liberties enjoyed by the citizens of the United Kingdom.
